Laurel Lorenzini lives in New England with her two creative daughters, caring husband, and mischievous puppy, Bonnie. Growing up with eight siblings, she realized early on that everyone had something unique to offer the world. Her career as a writer advanced from writing flight strip notations as an Air Force air traffic controller to writing case briefs in law school. As an author of children’s books, she now writes about far more engaging topics, such as friendship, acceptance, and mutual aid.

Embracing a Crowded World

Although the message is intended for children, there's a great lesson here for adults as well! For those of us who grow weary of the public and feel like we're always doing our jobs, this fresh perspective builds an air of gratitude for others and our own capabilities.

Artwork reminds me of watercolour painting, story keeps an intriguing focused pace. This would be a good parent-to-child read like a bedtime story as some words may be a bit of a challenge to the youngest readers. Great book that focuses on embracing change and finding joy in unexpected situations.

We were going to the beach, just the two of us, but quite suddenly, a bunch of strangers showed up. But perhaps these strangers were just friends we hadn't met yet.
I usually come down pretty hard on poetic works that don't have a good sense of rhythm, so I can't just ignore some of the lines here that don't do the math quite right. But the story is so playful and welcoming, it makes me happy to read. I think you might enjoy it too.
