I finished this workbook last week and LOVED IT! I can't say enough how thankful to God that He led me to this series by Julia Fikse.
I was looking up books on Amazon with topics on food addiction and binging. I've struggled with an eating disorder for 46 years. When I saw the title, I laughed because, boy, do I get that relationship with food.
As I began working through the chapters I experienced validation, empathy, grace, and knowledge. The tools I've picked up have brought me a sense of peace and reminded me of my identity in Christ.
I've had the privilege to have zoom calls and personal emails from Julia as well. She has such an amazing heart for those of us who struggle with weight and health issues. Her humor and compassion make her so relatable and approachable. I'm grateful for her authenticity and friendship.
I highly recommend this book if you find that dieting hasn't been successful. Julia reminds us that it begins with Jesus and the heart. He is the key to breaking free of the bondage of food addiction. It's challenging but so worth it in the end.

Wow, an amazing workbook that's helping put God in the center of my emotions and desires instead of food - my old go too coping mechanism. I find I'm referring back to it on day when I get stuck in a food trap. If you've struggled with food and dieting this workbook is FOR you and will give you great encouagement.

This study was life changing for me. So glad I “found it”, took the time to absord the material and let God do a work in me. (Allison)
