This is probably one of the most challenging, but ultimately rewarding Buddhist texts that I have ever read. To suggest I have thoroughly understood every word of this most fundamental of Mahayana Buddhist teachings would be less than honest and as a practicing Buddhist dishonesty is not something I can indulge in. Yet, the satisfaction of completing my study of this text is great, and my understanding on how to proceed upon the path of enlightenment - as unattainable as that may feel quite regularly - is invariably deepened.
I cannot recommend this text to anyone who is seeking to commence their Buddhist studies. There are many texts that are far more accessible than this in such circumstances. Ultimately however, if you continue your journey upon this path it is inevitable that you will pick up this great work of 'the jewel of the scholars of the land of the snows' Tsong-Kha-Pa.
