Grace Tully became FDR's personal secretary after Missy LeHand suffered a physical collapse and later stroke in June of 1941. All the memoirs by the people around FDR become invaluable sources of insights and stories about Franklin. Ms. Tully was by his side for many years and shed some light on a number of important occasions during FDR's presidency.

So far it presumes that you know a lot about the situations and people during FDRs life. Not just WWIi, the depression, etc, but smaller life incidents.

Giving up. In 60 years, will our children remember who Rahm Emanuel and Bernie Madoff are? Probably not - that's why I found this book difficult.
