This is what happens when christians write about other systems, they are compelled to inject their own belief system into the work usually with negative results. While detailed and informative 80% of the time the other 20% is dedicated to instructing the reader about the ills and pitfalls of following this path and here is where the author looses all impartial creditability. In 384 pages he reduces a vast philosophy to one conclusion: beware of Buddhism it is primitive and dangerous. Yet another 19th century white man's burden tract but what should you expect from a French aristocrat of the time. If you read this keep that in mind. I would suggest finding a native source of information to explore.
