Mythology is one of my favourite genre and when it comes to Indian epics, The Mahabharata is the most revered epic of all time. But in-depth analysis of Mahabharata reveals many shocking truths and disturbing facts of that time. It's needless to mention that many of those stories seems stemming out of fantasies and human imagination but underlying those obscure stories lies deep, hidden meanings and spiritual lessons that can help a person find path in darkness. 'Those Stories Vol 1' is a collection of handpicked stories from Mahabharata that provides simple narrative to the most significant stories of Indian History along with deep analysis of those stories to lead a more meaningful and impactful life.

This book works as an anecdote, a self-help guide in disguise of mythology. Throughout the book it teaches us to live a more meaningful, prosperous and fulfilling life through insightful and holistic approach. This book is filled with practical lessons that we can apply in our day to day life. Most important it gives a window to express one's own views over the lesson after each chapter along with the author's own opinion. Although it's a collection of eighteen stories, it was relatively short read for me, I would have liked more stories. Writing style is simple and lucid providing everyone an opportunity to pick up, read and understand mythology. Recommended to all.

i like one of the beautifully story written in the book it is about friendship of Sudama and Lord Krishna

Whenever there is talk about friendship this came to our mind poor bramhin Sudama and Royal family Krishna.
However the difference of status never hindered their friendship in any way.

The story we all know when Sudama visited Krishna besides this there is one more story lesser known
it is of childhood days when Krishna got hungry and sudama didnt share his food.

Motto
God always reward good deeds; however he is also bound by the laws of karma. he knows when to bestow his grace on us.
Devotion of God is the only thing that can lead us to his grace.
worship and expecting material gains in return will never help us gods grace.
being pure of thought , word and deed and offering our heart and soul to him will give us everything we would ever need.

few of the notable stories are
Karna and his charity conditionality
Eklavya and Dronacharya Reverence

"Those stories" is a collection of short stories of "Mahabharata" . Its basically a self - help book. Which will change your perspective towards your life and transform you into a better human being. This is the first volume of the series. It contains eighteen brilliant stories from the mahabharata and gives us valuable lessons.

At the end of the story author asks you a question .What thoughts are coming to your mind after reading the story. Moreover mottos shared by the author are quite knowledgeable and impactful at the same time. There is motto which i want to share here:-

" One should never make an extraordinary promise out of the immediate emotion in exchange for someone's help or favour. such a promise only leads to remorse and regret in the future.

Each and every story is a learning experience in itself.

Throughout the book it teaches us to live a meaningful life. One of the most important thing is that it gives a vision to express one's own views over the lesson.

The language of the book is lucid with brilliant usage of vocabulary. Moreover cover of the book is decent.

At last, I must recommemd this book to all the lovely readers to give it a try for once . I am sure you all are going to love this book .

Must read❤❤
