'11 Oracles' is aptly titled by author 'Anish Kanjilal'. The book lets the readers to meet themselves deeper and to cherish their own presence in an ideal way. This composition is certainly appropriate and worth praising for those who yearns to explore the world and so it's phases too.
The Author has tremendously composed this piece with so many of emotions and virtues. It's each verse is way too bold and genuine which even reflects the accent behind.
I commend the Author for coming up with such a masterpiece composed of such brilliant poetries. The ink, flow and style of each poetry is beyond senses.
The author has aptly derived the saying; "It's difficult to express but it's easier to write. To write is to feel, to feel is to live."
The poetries been in '11 Oracles' are so pure and soulful. It seems as if the author himself exists in his poetries while his emotions are been overflowing throughout.
Perhaps, this piece deserves our read as the author's mesmerising emotions are been deeply inked and poured fabulously in his piece.
'11 Oracles' takes the readers closer to the God and closest to one's soul. Be it mind our soul, would remain along throughout the read of this book.

With a beautiful and attention-grabbing cover and illustrations inside, 11 Oracles by Anish Kanjilal is a terrific book of poetry, exceeding its scope beyond its genre. It studies the core nature of humans that advanced and progressed with passage of time, however, remained morally claustrophobic under the veil of ignorance and illusions. Through references from Greek and other mythological sources, the book builds a strong scaffold of narration.
The book says it loudly that humans have remained ignorant ever since the dawn of their civilization. We are evolving but with no moral conscience. Each step, each move ingrained in the façade of modern feat is nothing but a shift towards ruination and obliteration. The book boasts of its original wisdom, underlying message for humanity. Its poems narrate the ironies of our lives. How we live yet, at the same time, decay with our clumsy tenacity and propositions drawn deeper in our lives.
Each poem is preceded by a black and white illustration, exuding a hint as what lies ahead. Right at the beginning poems like ‘Silence’ reminds us about the finality of life through death. ‘The Eclipse of Medusa’, ‘Slaughter House’ are inherently ironic poems, giving a deep analysis of the plight of women and animals in our societies.
The collection has enough provision to evoke any sane mind’s cogitation while providing food for thoughts. Yes, the poetic narrative is lyrical yet it has a strong vibe of philosophy in it, which explores basic yet meaningful facets of our existence groping under the illusions of fog and ignorance. Anish skillfully paints a canvas of certain life reflections, though hidden like silhouettes of light, to elicit a wide range of feelings.

When you'll start reading the book, you may find it difficult to understand but as you'll go with the you'll start understanding what the author was trying to share within the lines of each poems. Author ha put together his soul & heart in the poems and you'll definitely feel it. It'll take you to a journey of emotions & thoughts by connecting yourself with your mind and soul.
The narration of this book is raw and mesmerizing. You'll find that each poem will itself connect with you. The metaphors author used to describe the poems will surely make you imagine yourself in that situation. And before the start of each poems there are beautifully illustrated images that will surely attract you.
The language used is neither easy nor hard. If you're newbie reader you may find this difficult but for a regular reader this book will surely work.
Final Thoughts -: A beautiful mesmerizing, raw collection of emotions, thoughtful, realistic poems which surely worth a reader's time. Poems are illustrated & presented beautifully. Overall i had a great time reading this.

11 Oracles by Anish Kanjilal is a poetry collection comprising of eleven poems that talk about a whole variety of things regarding life and all of the things related to it.
Whenever I pick up a poetry collection, I do it with the hope that it teaches me something about life no matter how small, this one taught a lot.
Coming to the poems, grammatically correct and rich with poetic devices, am just in awe with how good all of it is. Agreed poetry is just lines written but to write in such a manner that it makes the reader lose their selves in all of that they're reading, and this poetry collection does a stunning job for the same.
The text is also accompanied by pictures which go hand in hand with the poems but one have to understand it and that was my favourite part.
The only thing that did not work for me was that at time the poems were a tad bit too long, which didn't work for me, as I got lost and had to go back again.
Some of my favourite lines of the collection are-
"That on the beads of
death, life says
its prayer
On the epitaph of the tomb,
someone inscribes fear
That June wrote at Selep a lullaby
for December
And autumn counted
the sleepless
Days winding down the calendar"

💫The poems have rhythm and rhyme.
💫There are beautiful metaphors and poetic expressions ( I loved 'vagabond clouds')
💫 The poems are accompanied by evocative B&W sketches.
💫The poems abound in references to classics in literature, Greek mythology and historical characters. A suitable read for serious students of English literature and poetry.
💫There is good vocabulary so keep the dictionary handy.
💫The poetry needs careful deciphering to interpret and understand the meaning. So take your time, not for a hurried read.
💫It makes for a cerebral read.
💫The writing is affecting.

11 Oracles is a collection of 11 poems. The author has beautifully penned human emotions and feelings throughout his words and poems in this wonderful piece of book. The visual aids and graphical designs are equally fantastic which boosted me to see more and read more.
I agree it was initially difficult for me to read because of various metaphors used and depth of those, but re-reading these poems made different sense to me and more perception to the initial ideas. Budding readers of poetry might find this difficult to read, but I was an amateur once too.
The line that caught my attention the most is, "Be Brave! Be Brave? Be Brave..." . It's the same 2 words but the different punctuation mark describes different meanings. Isn't that how life is too? The way of seeing things and perception defines most of our lives than it should!

I won't recommend anyone who is weak at heart to read this book as it could be quite disturbing.
As i read this book i realised the author has a really rich language and i read it slowly and steadily to be able to decipher the meaning properly.
I feel like the theme is quite dark. For instance the first poem talks about death, how the author feels that even though everyone else found a ray of hope, death is inevitable and an escape.
I usually prefer books that give me hope and make me feel good at heart. This was quite opposite.
Overall i think the author has a talent to write poems. And everyone has a different muse. The book doesn't talk about the usual love related poems you read it talks about something true and dark.
Overall, if you enjoy reading poetry you could give this a try.

If you read poetry and are simply the fan of the world of verse, then you must try ready this one. It's a collection of 11 beautiful poetries. This book sheds light on various poetic forms used by poet . In this set of poetry, author has talked about different aspects of life: silence, faith, illusion, nightmare, etc. Each poem have it's own soul, you could feel that author has written them with such pure heart. All over mesmerizing emotions and thoughts. I'm just overwhelmed with him writting. I totally agree with the author when he said " It's difficult to express, but it's easier to write". This is such a beautiful set of poetry for people who would like to take a peak toh the real world and circumstances.
I highly recommend people to read it once if you have something for poetry.

As the title suggests, it is a collection of 11 poems that shed light on different aspects of psyche and human mind: silence, illusion, nightmare, faith etc . Reading it felt like each poem had its own mind and was talking to your soul. The author did an amazing job expressing his thoughts in such an exquisite way.

Before pouring out my thoughts, I would like to share a few words about the illustrations shared before each poem. Images speak the author’s mind and also provoke our inner self. Each and every poem was written with simple and unique words, which adds an extra special touch to them.
We can relate to the things shared in the poem, where we humans are mixed with all kinds of emotions and have an evil side hidden within us. This poem is transparent enough to expose who we are and how we get swayed based on time, situation, and environment.
I conclude by saying that we are all three-faced people, showing one to the outside world, another to our families, and the third is hidden, which we only wish we knew!
We can relate to the things shared in the poem, where we humans are mixed with all kinds of emotions and have an evil side hidden within us. This poem is transparent enough to expose who we are and how we get swayed based on time, situation, and environment.

For anyone who likes to read poetry, this book is for you. With all the emotions and personified aspects of life and values, this book can give you all the warmth that you crave. A collection of 11 poems, written differently but will still ensure to set you ready to go on a wonderful journey. As amazing as the cover of the book is, the author ensured to mesmerize all the readers enough to book them for the upcoming projects.
From the language to the creative aspects inside, I loved them all. I could actually see the efforts and they were enough to overwhelm me. I usually go for historical fiction and thrillers but decided to take a break from that and read poems. This book proved to be a wise choice for it.
All in all, I liked reading it.

Poems are something that intrigue me a lot but I never have the time to pick them up and devour them separately.
But I loved the composition of the poems in this book. All of the poems were based on different topics that had been subdivided for more clarity.
The best part of the book was the hide and seek verse for depicting the three stages of life- childhood, adulthood and old-age. There are relatable drawings at the end of every topic.
There was a little graphic in the slaughter house which I tried to skip because gory details just don't work for me. But I even loved reading 'Addressing December.' The poems felt fresh and were heartfelt.
I would recommend this book to all poem lovers.

This book is collection of 11 different poems.
Most of the poem uses mythological characters to give a unique and different sense to the poem but if you don't know about those characters, you may find it very difficult what the hack is going on. And all these characters are taken from different different countries mythological books.
You will find a sketch before every poem and you may find it very very disturbing (in my case I find them disturbing very much, they are something like saitans showing their cruelty)
Don't recommend to those who like slow and peaceful reading
*Baki padho likho aur mooj kro*

In this collection of poems, the author eloquently expresses the feelings that we all experience but may not have ever articulated. He does this through his use of imagery and metaphor, which can be hard to identify at first glance. But once you get a feel for his style, you'll be able to see what he's talking about—and it will make sense.

It was a cozy read. As in, you'd finish it in one go but a hangover is promised.
The book is a collection of eleven poems. Poems that mind you are deeply thought provoking, Insightful and stunning in a way.
I mean, sure it has some depressing lines but it's okay. It catches up pretty quickly.
There were minor illustrations that were interesting.
The poems were relatable, of sorts, and speaks of some deeply emotional stuff. Stuff I'm used to putting in a deep dark place inside me and locking it tight.
But, I'd suggest y'all read this

This one is quite amazing.
11 Oracles is a collection of 11 poems about life and death. The language is beautifully chosen.
The theme of the poems are quite dark, and you need to have patience to read and understand each one. It actually took me quite a lot of time to understand the meaning of the poem. You'll get to know about the deepest thoughts in your life. So definitely I'll give it a 3⭐
But I won't recommend it to the soft hearted persons because of the theme. Other than this, the poems are actually amazing if you understand what the poet wanted to tell the readers.

It's a poetry book. Collection of 11 beautiful poems which is written by Anish Kanjilal. This book sheds light on various poetic forms used by poet. I just enjoyed a lot and my favourite poem is" silence "( A satire on life). How beautifully author explained all the poems. I must say it's a life changing poems for me. Language used is lucid. Recommend to all especially poetry lovers must read it.

The Book '11 Oracles' is written so well by Poet Anish Kanjilal. I love the way, poet tried to depict a journey of a soul throughout the life and also beyond the life.
This collection of 11 hymns is a precious knowledge to unveil the delusinal thinking of our life and soul.
I am literally enlighten after reading this beautiful poem.

11 oracles written by author Anish kanjilal is a collection of 11 different poems. The author has expressed the words through images and they are so deep and intriguing. All these poems gives us hope to look forward in the journey of life.
"No labour no gain." We have to work hard to rise to fame. The book has various aspects in it. Language is lucid and book is intresting.
