Webpage Design using Dreamweaver: A Practical Manual to Beginner’s

Rate this book
This Practical manual book is for anyone wanting to learn how to use Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, the leading website development tool on the market today. It targets beginning-to intermediate Dreamweaver users and assumes no previous experience with the software. It does presume, however, that the reader is an intelligent and interested person with basic computer skills and at least a basic understanding of the Web and web-page design.Dreamweaver is a versatile and powerful tool for developing web pages and web sites. But Dreamweaver is just a tool. It can’t supply the vision of what your website should be or what features will make your pages attractive and effective. Dreamweaver can, however, enable you to transform your vision for a web site into reality. Web-site design is a huge topic and is the exclusive subject of many books. Thus, the art of design is beyond the scope of this book. This book manual’s focus is on using Dreamweaver 8 to produce basic web sites, not on using the program’s advanced features for producing web applications. The book starts with an introduction to the Dreamweaver user interface and working examples of simple webpage design, ordered and unordered list, image and table properties, GUI components : Textfield, Button, TextArea, XML : Internal & External DTD, Event Handling using onclick(), Filter and Transitions, VBScript, Mouse Events, handling data and time functions and a simple webpage for a college.
