Let the good times roll!
That’s Ava Martin’s retirement plan at least, until gray aliens abduct her from the middle of the Nevada desert. In her hair rollers no less! Talk about a rude awakening for this UFO skeptic. And her sexy, winged rescuer is no help either; he’s more concerned about obeying orders. Seems like there’s only one way for her to get home—hijack his ship.

All in the line of duty.
The grays have been a burr in Captain Sovah Raptorclaw’s wing throughout his law-enforcement career, and now they have absconded with half his crew. If only the crazy stopped there. The stunning female he has rescued is from a planet he has never heard of, and she has him breaking every rule to keep her in his life.

Together, Ava and Sovah must make a daring rescue, return a cow (and other Earthlings) home, and end the grays’ reign of terror. But, can they do it all without losing each other in the process?

Welcome to the Silverstar Mates series, featuring intergalactic love matches for those over fifty.

This was such a fun fast read. The humour was seamlessly woven into the story so it didn't feel forced; I was laughing out loud at parts.

The characters were great and felt real. Ava Martin was surprisingly relatable. After being abducted in her house coat and rollers, she's an unexpected surprise for Sovah who fives him a run for his money. To top off the enjoyment, we have the sweetest cow who I absolutely adored.

I highly recommend Fly With Me to sci-fi romance fans or romcom lovers who enjoy sci-fi.

Summary:
Ava finally retired and went on a road trip she always wanted, but she never expected to wake up on an alien ship. Ava and others with her have nothing except the clothing on their backs and each other locked in cages.

Captain Sovah Raptorclaw is on his final voyage when he runs across a spaceship controled by the Greys, a group that are known for violating many worlds. Upon taking control of the alien ship, Sovah and Ava run across each other in the most unusual manner and an immediately attracted to each other. Ava never believed in aliens, but this makes her rethink her beliefs.

Cal Ava and Sovah find a way to overcome their differences and at the same time save their friends and family?

This story was how the whole Silverstar Mates series began and answered questions left by the other books. This is a wonderful edition to this series.

I've loved all of these, the idea that you're too old for love part a certain age always bothered me. These show its never too late
And it also made me crack up laughing in parts.........yes they did abduct a cow 🤣🤣
The characters in this seem so real, I can visualize them. Most unique alien abductions I've read hahaha, I could see them grabbing me in one of these ways. Just imagine it...........free taco bar with the purchase of any books......yep, I'd be in space in no time flat 😂
Just so good, hoping for more, need some questions answered, some characters I've gotten attached to.

I love it. Ava's a retired woman in her sixties who gets captured with other people by aliens, called grays. She is a feisty lady who is figures out how to help them get out of their cages. Their ship is stopped by a Law enforcement ship. They are boarded. Ava gets separated from them & Runs into Captain Sovah Raptorclaw & his team. She & he go to his ship. The Grays mother ship attacks. The Captain's ship has to retreat. He wants to follow his commander's tracker but is ordered not too. Ava wants him to follow the ship to save her friends. Later she pulls his stun gun on him to try to make him fly a stealth ship against orders to save his team & her friends. He doesn't fight her too hard to get control of the ship. When he finds the ship, he gets attached & pulled in to the mother ship. When he shuts down, he sees his team & the prisoners run out of the ship armed & shooting the grays. Sovah radios his commander & wants to know why civilians are armed & fighting. The man tells him they are earthlings & very frustrating. They are ready to go home. They had all gotten together & recaptured the ship. With both ships under control, everyone is ready to be transported home. Ava would rather stay with Sovah but he is afraid she will be charged for capturing him to make him save the prisoners. She jumps to have him save her & they end up in the stealth ship. They go to a planet for asylum. Ava is his mate & they stay there to live. It is a great story.

Life begins at 50. It was adorably sexy and fun. I was laughing from the very beginning at the interactions of our heroes 🥰
I'm immediately starting the second part, of which I only read a 'Sneak Peak' of the first chapter from the second part in '24 Gifts from the Galaxy', i.e. the 'book advent calendar', and I liked it so much that I decided to read the entire series 😉👍

DNF @ 63%

I really wanted to like this book. I enjoyed the characters, but the spice wasn't there for me and I never connected with the FMC or the MMC.
