When Charlie returns from the hotspots of the world, she is shocked to find her feisty girl adventures are not topics for conversation at dinner tables where the merits of marriage and maternity dominate. But who is really missing out? And can real domestic bliss only happen in wendy houses?
Not one of her most engaging stories. It's an earlier work than the Babylon series so it's explainable that her style hadn't evolved yet. Love the Babylon books though. And she's still one of my favorite writers in terms of her writing style.
