Always hungry for stories of Te Taitokerau and TT tūpuna. Delighted to read of wāhine and their greatness in our history, their impact and wairua. I have a better understanding of the whakapapa of naming wāhi and hapū in the nota. Loved the local whakatauākī. Our tūpuna were intelligent, visionary and loyal. 24 pūrākau was enough for now but I want more.

A brilliant collection of stories and essays that unlock the past history of the far north. Very much enjoyed this pukapuka. Hei taonga.
