Thirty Years of Spiritual Writings Hidden Away

Jack Armstrong does not consider himself to be the “author” of the writings he shares in Lessons from the Source: A Spiritual Guidebook for Navigating Life’s Journey.

During the late 1970s, he began writing down a series of spiritual teachings that he knew were coming from somewhere other than his own conscious mind. He was in awe of the phenomenon, but had no idea why or how it was happening.

Although the lessons he transcribed appeared to be intended to help him meet challenges in his own life, he now admits to having ignored them and filed them away without ever showing them to anyone, because of a concern about what others might think.

Fortunately, he did not abandon the process and has continued this form of communication for more than three decades.

His Own Life’s Journey

Jack describes his life as “a wonderful adventure, full of blessings, surprises and extraordinary opportunities.” His journey has included stops as a nonprofit executive, Peace Corps volunteer, congressional candidate, small business owner, voiceover artist and hospice worker.

He was raised in a traditional Protestant denomination, but as an adult found that its tenets were no longer meeting his own spiritual needs. Since then, spiritual exploration has been an integral part of his life, and his belief system continues to evolve.

In recent years, major life changes allowed him to focus more time and attention on understanding his own spiritual path, and the written communications he received during that time continued to urge him to make the teachings available to others who might benefit from them.

Lessons from the Source contains the first of those writings to be shared with others.

I just finished Lessons from the Source by Jack Armstrong. It's a collection of insights that were written much like A Course in Miracles. Armstrong writes on his site:

"As the process is happening and I am writing feverishly, I usually have no conscious memory of what I already have written. When the flow of words has stopped and I review what has been written, I inevitably am astonished by how the message itself is coherent and flows naturally from one subject to the next, and is written in a style ― and often with words ― unlike those I typically use in my own writing. And even more remarkable, I have never felt a need for significant editing."

Why read Lessons from the Source? Because this book is like a plain-spoken, warm-hearted friend right by your side ready to offer solace and reassurance no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.

I myself have read many spiritual books over the years, including teachings by Neale Donald Walsch, Ramana Maharshi, Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, and others. I appreciated that this book not only resonated with me like the best spiritual books I've read before, but that it did so in such a positive way! Plus, the writing is so clear and immediately accessible.

I recommend this book to everyone, whether you've read many spiritual books or none at all. In fact, this would be a terrific little book to hand out as an uplifting gift. Lessons is truly a guidebook of the best kind - each chapter reminded me that we are here to enjoy life and instantly brought me gratitude and joy.

As evocative as the photo that graces its cover, Lessons from the Source will wash over you like a gently flowing stream filled with the healing power of wisdom, light and love.

This is the kind of book that you can take with you anywhere and read any time, especially in those moments when you feel the need to connect with the deepest truths of the Universe.

Armstrong's inspiring lessons, intuited through Inner Dictation, urge us to let go of the negatives in our lives, commit to the good, and find our own inner peace. Take some time to reflect and savor, passage by passage: a rejuvenating and refreshing journey of the heart, mind and soul.

Universal Wisdom in a 100-page gem of a book with accessible truth about life and how to live in connection with our highest.

I like that it makes 'big' concepts digestible without reducing them to soundbites. Claiming and accepting your good is a great chapter for anyone suffering from stressful thoughts about sufficiency of supply. If the Divine had a human voice I imagine it would sound like this, firm and clear in it's unconditional love of our humanity... but not mincing words!

This book is a Spiritual Guidebook for Navigating Life's Journey by Jack Armstrong. Each chapter is short, with compact lessons in each paragraph. I find the lessons to be powerful, and have referred many people to this book, who found great value in reading and applying the lessons. We must navigate our way through this journey we all walk together. Why not make it an adventure worth living - in joy.

If you love the Conversations with God series, You'll love Lessons From the Source. I literally keep this book on my night table, and often carry it with me everywhere. This book is packed full of wisdom and life lessons. Neale Donald Walsch is right...God speaks to everyone. And like Neale she spoke with Jack Armstrong. Many years later he shares with us Lessons From The Source. I highly recommend this book!

I've always been a very spiritual person and I believe that's why I am who I am. The way Jack feels about life mirrors the way I feel. While reading this guidebook, I found myself digging deeper inside and feeling a sense of freedom and serenity. Personally, I think everyone could use a little help walking down life's path and this book is the best place to start.
