Elle l'appelle Doudou, ma crevette, Minus, Louloute, baby, chaton, mon oiseau, mon castor. Elle lui répond "Tata". Elle s'occupe d'elle comme de sa fille mais c'est sa nièce. Elle lui raconte tout comme à une mère mais c'est sa tante. Toutes les deux, c'est un duo tout feu tout flamme, une partie de ping-pong où la balle serait de l'amour. Il faut au moins ça car la plus petite, quand elle est chez elle, doit souvent se débrouiller toute seule et ne peut pas trop compter sur sa maman... Heureusement, pour s'échapper de son quotidien, il y a les rêves mais surtout il y a la tendresse. Avec ce roman graphique en couleur, aux aquarelles pleines d'humour, Myren Duval et Emma Constant nous livrent une émouvante histoire de famille à hauteur d'enfant.

Merci pour la tendresse permet d’évoquer avec douceur et humour la thématique difficile de la dépression et de ses conséquences aussi bien pour la personne concernée que pour son entourage. Entre scènes qui brisent le coeur et instants de complicité et de rires qui le réchauffent, un ouvrage fort et tendre à la fois illuminé par les douces aquarelles d’Emma Constant.

I've read this book in Italian. I have to tell you that at first I wasn't very interested and couldn't find a meaning to it,but as the story goes on a dark and so hurtful truth comes to light. I don't want to make any spoilers,but unfortunately this story treats a delicate theme that is very present in our lives, a disease to which many adults succumbe due to stress, anxiety, untreated trauma and difficulties they face every day and in the end the children under their care pay the price of this addiction. It left me with a not in my throat and on the verge of tears. Beautifully and accuratelly illustrated for children

It’s a deceptively deep book . It talks about depression, inventiveness of children, beautiful relationship between aunt and niece, how children manage other adults etc.


While it’s mostly graphical with beautiful graphics , the beginning chapters are verbose . With few complex words for B1 level. Possibly complex for a foreigner learning French than for child who hears it day to day .

While it dealt with such serious topics , it wasn’t weepy sentimental, but very pragmatic day to day . I liked it for this depiction.
