About the author

Children’s book author R.C. Chizhov grew up in India and moved to New York in 2005 to pursue her higher education at Columbia University. She spent fourteen years as an investment banker before living her childhood dream of being an author.

She now lives in Florida writing empowering stories that children can relate to. Her picture books have won several awards and accolades.

A Wonderful Message

This is a fun rhyming story to read to young children. It delivers a wonderful message about perseverance. The illustrations are very lovely and lively. Job well done.

Anastasia Yezhela did a phenomenal job with the illustrations. My daughter loved the emus. She liked their different hairstyles and clothing choices. She remarked that their shoes matched their outfit. Good catch! What an observant kiddo, and well done to the artist! My daughter was excited to see the emus wearing a crown since she plays dress-up and wears a crown too. She recognized the unicorn float from our local department store.

We laughed together as the puppy chased his tail. In my daughter’s words, “Puppies are so silly.” I agree. We never see our kitties chasing after their tail.

My daughter covered her eyes when she saw the pages with the magenta spider. I don’t blame her. They were rather big. Even though she kept her eyes closed, I read her the pages because spiders play an essential part in our daily lives. BTW: I thought the spiders were cute because they were fake.

Nope-Nope Emu by R.C. Chizhov teaches children a valuable lesson: don’t give up when something is challenging; keep trying!

I loved this encouraging Book!

This book was light, fun and encouraging to read. I loved how the author took us through the mindset of the little emu at the same time, teaching us about never giving up. The illustration was beautifully done, and the rhymes were so cute. I recommend this book to anyone, young or old, who deals with giving up easily. A great children's book!

A great message for kids

This book is lovely. The pictures are so nice and full of detail and the story is adorable. It teaches children to just keep on trying and never give up. Well written with some lovely rhymes. A great bedtime, or anytime story for little ones.

Absolutely amazing book. I tried reading this book to my special needs son, but he left before I finished it. I read it anyway and enjoyed every word of it.

This book teaches kids to never give up. Keep trying until you succeed.

Inspirational and imaginative 'Yes I Can' tale.

Very Cute for the Little Kiddies!

Great lesson and fun illustrations. Very pleased that this is book 1 because I look forward for more to read aloud with my daughter!
