Navigating a second marriage and adding step parents is never easy. I would highly recommend this book, it has practical advice and points everything back to scripture.
A really excellent resource covering all the neglected aspects of experience that come with trying to build a family out of broken pieces. There are a huge number of helpful tips on how to align priorities in such complicated and diverse priorities, but the real asset here seems to be in how to do coparenting and step parenting in a way that honors others and the kids, regardless of the function of the relationship. There is even a chapter on what to expect when needing to face litigation. Definitely gonna revisit this content.
I became a part of a blended family as an adult, so I didn't think about reading a book on the subject until now. I am glad I did. It helped me understand some the things I felt as my new family was blending, and it was a good reminder that I'm not alone in this blending process. I liked how the authors provided practical tips, but also talked about their experiences, successes, and mistakes. I think people from all different perspectives will come away with lots of help for their own journey.
