In this Little Golden Book, buying new shoes takes center stage. Using rhymed verse to make it more accessible to young readers, we are introduced to various types of boots. The young characters actions in the different boots are bolded gerunds that readers can also emulate. This is a good easy reader book that can invite a lot of interaction with the texts and the illustrations.
