Despite never having read anything as unique as Period? before, this compilation of short stories was incredibly familiar. Though its namesake has been roughing me up since the 6th grade, reading this book gave me warm feelings of nostalgia the whole way through. Even when I was learning a few new things, I was constantly transported to chats I had with my girlfriends throughout my life - laughing, commiserating, gagging a bit. It was a true pleasure. I'd recommend Period to anyone with a love/hate relationship with their own menstrual cycle.
