A delightful time was had while sipping upon these essays across a period of summer days. The most the thought-provoking chapter, for me, was the one on Coward's seemingly cheesy musicals that in truth conceal a few surprises. That side of his output is so often overlooked. Enjoyed having those works placed in a more illuminating context for me.
