Gillian Quinn was used to handling things solo, but when an outrageous family secret was exposed, she ran to old pal Alex Hunter for help. As Gillian's search for the truth intensified, feelings of betrayal plagued her...and she sought refuge in Alex's arms. Though Alex had known Gillian for years, he never before felt this magnetic, irresistible attraction to her. For they were opposites -- Gillian, a get-up-and-go adventurer, and Alex, an established-home single father. Still, he knew he wanted this, to be the one Gillian could lean on. But how could he convince Gillian to stay -- as his best friend, his love...his life?
The plot is quite nice and certain descriptions are well written. However, in certain cases, the story is too fast paced and there is a lack of description and some plot holes. It is still a good light read.
