Unremembered Book 2: Actors, Artists, Entertainers & Influencers

Rate this book
At the outset of the twentieth century, aspiring painters, sculptors, and photographers converge on Paris, the center of the art world, to hone their craft, while in New York and London theater managers and popular actors of the day present the latest stage productions to enthusiastic crowds. Meanwhile, the prospects of war in Europe loom menacingly just over the horizon. Like other enterprises, the future of the entertainment industry, while thriving, braces for the impact of a conflict that will eventually affect both sides of the Atlantic.

It’s against this uncertain backdrop that Ken Zurski, author of the award-winning Unremembered, provides another fascinating look at once-famous people that are now mostly forgotten by time. From influential theater-types to groundbreaking artists to far-reaching visionaries, this new collection of Unremembered tells a story of connections and consequences that once again reminds us that the people we meet and the friendships we keep not only change lives, but history as well.

“This is not a biography but a one-of-a-kind book to explore history like never before.… I loved the way Ken Zurski interweaved the lives of the many historical figures you meet in these pages and how often it is enough to mention one person while talking about another to start telling their story too. Despite this amount of information, the general picture is clear and never confusing and the book is delightful. Zurski took me on an exciting and well-documented journey, and I hope this is possible for many more readers.” —Astrid Iustulin, Readers’ Favorite

🔵 BOOK: Unremembered 2
🔵 AUTHOR: Ken Zurski

🔵 Review:
"Unremembered Book 2: Actors, Artists, Entertainers & Influencers" is the first book that I have read written by the author Ken Zurski. If you are a history buff then you would find this non-fiction historical book intriguing.

In this book, the author has featured many personalities that were once famous but have been forgotten with time. This is a great book to remember the forgotten people from history. The title of the book is totally according to its contents and I appreciate the author's choice for it. I am glad to read about Edward Steichen, Charles Klein, Felix Nadar, Mrs Pat Campbell, etc.

With these people, the author takes us to France, Germany, Paris, etc. In this book, readers would find many interesting topics like wealth, passion, friendship, travel, etc. This book hooked my attention to the last page and I am interested in reading "Unremembered: Tales of the Nearly Famous & the Not Quite Forgotten" also. The stories are unique, entertaining and heartbreaking at times.

Add this book to your tbr. You would be delighted while reading it.

Unremembered 2
By
Ken Zurski

Review:
In his book, 'Unremembered Book 2: Actors, Artists, Entertainers and Influencers', the author Ken Zurski has featured many interesting characters from history. All of these characters were famous once but in today's busy life, we have forgotten them. This book is a perfect reminder about these long forgotten characters. The stories that are related to these characters are gripping.

This is an unputdownable book. I kept on reading one story after the other. This book will take you to the world of western theater entertainment. It pulled me in so much that at some point I felt that I was witnessing these characters with my own eyes. The description about these characters is well done by Ken.

This book teaches a great lesson about the importance of people in our life as they not only change our life but also the history. Ken has used lucid language in the book. Readers would be able to follow the stories easily. I loved the story about Sada Yacco and Charles Froman. The author's fascination with once-famous individuals helped us to remember a lot of them. It's a book worth reading.

Recently I read the book "Unremembered Book 2" penned by the author Ken Zurski. It features once-famous actors, artists, entertainers and influencers. Some of the famous personalities mentioned in the book are: Edward Steichen, Mrs. Pat Campbell, Kathleen Bruce, Mary Desti, etc.

This book is about the entertainment industry around the time Peter Pan first appeared. The pictures of the once-famous people that are included in this book helped me to know them better. This book is unique and I am glad to know about so many personalities and the connections.

The book is written well by the author. I enjoyed every bit of it. The cover photo of the book is nice and the title couldn't have been better than this.

Those who love reading historical non-fiction should definitely get their hands on this one. This book has book one too but this one can be read as a standalone too. Go for it without any second thoughts.

“A brilliant piece of work.… Ken Zurski’s great gift as a storyteller is that he presents as a chronicler of personal histories that have been muted by the veil time. Once the reader is drawn in, however, we are surrounded by the flesh and blood of his subjects, their plots and passions, their loves and losses, the very fire of their lives which leads us to a renewed but once again shocking realization that some very significant parts of everything we consider to be our unique reality has been forged by all that came before. Much of our ‘here’ stands on the foundation built by those who well preceded us and our ‘now’ is more fleeting and borrowed than we might comfortably wish to comprehend within the daily practice of our lives.… What’s fascinating about Ken’s journey is that he’s managed to merge his instinct for journalistic inquiry with the desire to tell campfire stories that have never before been told.… I didn’t want this book to end.… The irony of Unremembered is that you won’t soon forget it.” —Bill Thill, producer, director, writer & industry podcaster

“Zurski’s meticulously compiled book offers a one-of-a-kind, vivid look at western theater entertainment from the 1800s to the mid-1900s, with beautiful photographs of entertainers and influencers as well as extensive references to books, newspapers, and other documents…As a musician and entertainer, the main message I took away from the book was that doing what I love and creating memorable experiences for myself and others make life worthwhile, no matter what time or place one finds themselves in.” —Foluso Falaye, Readers’ Favorite
