As the son of a Veteran of the US military, Sam joined the military himself at 18. Even prior to his personal service in the military, his memory was imprinted visually and he learned details of tanks and guns and uniforms easily. Even after his military career ended, he found himself soaking up every detail of obscure specialty cannons and aircraft despite the eye rolls of everyone who loved him. Sam is the friend who ruins an epic battle scene for the room because he noticed that the uniforms shown were incorrect and he can’t miss the anachronistic use of weapons. As an adult, he also found a love for art.

The culmination of these passions has led him here - to the emulsification of Geekdom, Experience, and Art - where he hopes that history lovers of all ages will find something a little more their speed to color.

Sam’s first release, US Weapons of WWII: Europe, is just that: his first public showing of a unique set of skills and loves, and one that we all hope will be just one of many.

When he isn’t working on artwork, he can be found chatting with friends, strumming a guitar, or cooking up something that puts yo mama’s cookin’ to shame. He has, at least so far, refused to make a restaurant coloring book.

Guys, here’s a great coloring book to hand to your kids the next time you’re studying about World War II or doing a family read-aloud from that time period (I always enjoyed coloring while mom read to us when I was little).

The coloring pages are a nice variety of scenes, weapons, machines, vehicles etc. used during the War. And nothing is gory, so no worries there. Not only are there a lot of pages to color, but includes text that was well researched and provides you with interesting facts.

Definitely recommend this one!

With each review, I provide a Cleanliness Report, mentioning any objectionable content I come across so that parents and/or conscientious readers (like me) can determine beforehand whether they want to read a book or not. Content surprises are super annoying, especially when you’re 100+ pages in, so here’s my attempt to help you avoid that!

We just received our copy today, and I am blown away by how detailed and impressive the pictures are in this coloring book. It is very evident that much care was taken to ensure the best quality drawings were included. I love how there is a history lesson given with each drawing. What a fun way to be creative and learn at the same time. I doubt there is a military coloring book as impressive as this one.

This is an intensely detailed coloring book for the ambitious colorer. Full of detailed explanations of what you are coloring, this book is informative and colorful, assuming you color it in, of course. Be sure to have on hand the colors of the rainbow which are required to violently color this one in.
