A travers des textes historiques clés et des contributions inédites, une série d'artistes, de théoriciens, de philosophes et d'écrivains s'interrogent sur la manière dont la politique du genre pourrait être reconfigurée dans un monde qui traverse une période d'extraordinaire effervescence intellectuelle, technologique, politique, artistique et sociale. Stronger than Bone révèle des pistes de réflexion sur des sujets très variés : l'incarnation et le techno-féminisme, la liberté et la violence sexuelles, la résistance matriarcale et les pratiques chamaniques, les dimensions genrées de l'auto-optimisation, l'identité numérique et la culture du jeu, la manière dont le traumatisme de la violence d'État et de l'injustice raciale est transmis aux générations futures, les stratégies artistiques de renouvellement et de réécriture de l'histoire. Face aux menaces et aux potentialités du moment présent, la réunion de cette constellation de voix constitue une itération du potentiel libérateur des formes collectives d'intelligence.

Above all else, I appreciated this book's stated intent of sharing the experiences of people with different backgrounds, cultures, ideas and struggles. In this sense, the "On Feminisms" part of the title is really reflective of the book's contents.
Reading about real-life experiences of women across the globe is a good approximation of meeting them. And while it's not enough to fully understand the struggle they suffered on their own skins, it's at least enough to foster a sense of awareness of many, multi-faceted issues.

Among the various excellent articles inside, I would strongly recommend "Speaking in tongues" by Gloria Anzaldúa, "Surviving through In(visibility)" by Tamarra and Brigitta Isabella, "Undoing history's spell on bad women," by Esha Pillay and Quishile Charan, and "Women, mourning, and the ritual for the death of family" by Kim Seongnae.

Overall a very good collection which I felt dwindled a bit in the last third.

One note; the font. I read a physical copy of this book and there simply was not enough contrast between font and page which made reading this somewhat strained for my eyes. I appreciate the aesthetic value of it all but black on white is the standard for a reason.
