Day Not Promised: The Intercessors

Rate this book
Pat Simmons introduces a new Christian fiction series that reminds readers that the bad guys don't always win, especially when the Lord fights our battles.
Omega Addams thought it was a typical work day until a detour on the way home changes everything. She's almost killed, but an innocent bystander, Mitchell Franklin, takes a bullet for Omega during a gas station robbery.
In the aftermath, Omega has no idea that God expects her to “pray it forward” until a spiritual battle unfolds before her eyes. Another innocent bystander is in trouble; unless Omega gets her prayer life together, others will die without Christ. It's a chain reaction that highlights the responsibility of a Christian--hot, cold, or lukewarm. It’s time to get our acts together. We are our brother’s keeper.

What A Blessing; What A Word!

I believe I have every single piece of work by Pat Simmons and I must say this is a bit different from what I’m use to from her. This book was AH-MAZ-ING! There was always something happening to keep the pages turning. I thought I’d read a few chapters here and there but I read it in two days! The blending and transitions of the characters, the use of the Word, the storylines - all of it was great! There were times I guessed what was happening but then she threw a curve ball. I laughed at a few parts as well. No, our days are not promised so don’t waste time debating about it; buy the book and you’ll be blessed! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

This was a totally different book than the author's normal. At least she warned me that it would make me upset. It did, but in a good way. Two people are thrown together after a tragedy, and must rely on their new found faith to get through it. I really enjoyed the way this story flowed as well as the lessons that are presented in the story. You will be getting a spiritual awaking after reading this book. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I received a copy of the book via the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review of my own thoughts and opinions

I loved Omega and Mitchell’s story. Pray it forward has becomes my favorite theme. I believe we should pray for each other and everyone. Ms. Simmons took me on a beautiful bible study. The friendship between Omega and Mitchell lead to a beautiful love story. The book shows us how we should treat each other. We never know when we are interacting with an Angel. This book will make you appreciate life and the strangers you may meet in this life. I cannot wait for the next one.

This was a wonderful book! Although I didn’t agree with some of the theology, and found the narrator kind of over the top in certain situations, I appreciate the main focus of the importance of intercessory prayer. As believers, it’s important to remember that prayer holds power. Although we may not receive an answer right away, doesn’t mean God isn’t working on it. Also, it would be amazing to see into the spiritual realm and witness God’s holy angels go to war for us!!! I loved the character development of Omega and Mitchell, along with the rest of the prayer warriors. I will be continuing the series.

This book opened my eyes up more to the power of prayer and being in God’s will, even when it doesn’t make sense to us. I’m a fan of Pat Simmons and read this book on another author’s recommendation. I knew it would be different but it’s also powerful. We are taken on a journey with Omega and Mitchell from a near-tragedy to being true prayer warriors and intercessors for their family, neighbors, and co-workers. It speaks to the world’s rebellion and how God’s will shall be done.

Nothing like any Pat Simmons novel heretofore. Hard to place it -is this a dark almost not Christian book; or what? Just decided to follow along to make a good decision about reading or not reading. It’s a love story, but that’s not the primary matter. Love comes about but only after a love of God is embedded in their hearts. The book had me praying right along with the characters. Another observation after reading this book was my own intercessory mission. I needed a recharge and this novel helped me. Omega and Michael are victims from a gas station robbery; he shields her from a bullet. Omega deeply desires to meet her hero, and goes to his hospital room the next day. No romance bloomed from this meeting at all-nor was that the intent. But love does start to grow but neither are aware bec they are on assignment to God. Every neighborhood needs a neighbor like Omega’s. A sweetly sainted woman of God. Every new believers needs the likes of her as well-what a great spiritual advisor. While totally different from her other novels, it was equally as compelling and riveting with complex plots, ppl, and places.

I honestly wasn't sure of the direction God wanted me to go with this story. I thought it might be dark, scary, and generate unfavorable reviews. However, once I started to write DAY NOT PROMISED, I learned that the premise of the story was basically God fights our battles second by second.

The title is appropriate and the storyline could have happened anywhere in the world! Omega and Michael are victims from a gas station robbery; he shields her from a bullet. Omega deeply desires to meet her hero, and goes to his hospital room the next day. No romance bloomed from this meeting at all-nor was that the intent. But love does start to grow but neither are aware because they are on an assignment to God. Mrs. Helena, a neighbor of Omega’s, was a great influence on them understanding what God has and wanted them to say. She helped them understand about God sending his angels to fight the demons on their behalf.

Day Not Pro.ised: The Intercessors

A beautifully written novel the spiritual battle the devil has imposed trying steal, kill and destroy our world. But God has dispersed angels working on our behalf trying to protect them from this pitfall. God wants us to admit we are sinners, ask for His forgiveness and surrender our will to Him and then be baptized. He then asked that they go out on the battle sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ allowing Him to lead and guide them. This story is powerful, remarkable and beautiful. I definitely recommend to readers everywhere because it will have spellbound, and rooting for everyone to except Christ!

Inspirational faith filled demon slaying

Whew, this was so inspiring with scriptures on fighting the enemy who comes to kill reveal and destroy. But with praying intercessors, faith and believing Gods will anything can happen in His time. I loved how one by one the crew was saved. There was some tragedy but God showed up with his angels on guard to prevent Satan's schemes . I want to be so in tune with God that I can see the enemy of darkness and be able to call on the name of Jesus to send in his army. Glory. Can't wait to read the next book. Omega and Mitchell as the Holy Ghost power couple. He truly was her hero.

God's Plan

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Therefore, accept God's salvation so that you will know the plans that He has for your life. Love others unconditionally and guide others to Christ. This powerful novel reveals the power of the Holy Spirit and how believing in Christ can change your life for your true purpose. The powerful relationship between Mitchell and Omega speaks volume of what God can do if only we believe.

Loved this book, we know that the day is not Promised to us. It is great that God sends intercessors to us on our behalf. Each chapter had the WOW factor the way Pat used scriptures and the way God talked to Omega and Mitchell when they needed his guidance was priceless. Mrs. Helena was a great influence on them understanding what God has and wanted them to say. She helped them understand about God sending his angels to fight the demons on their behalf. I highly recommend.

This is my first time reading a Pat Simmons book, I must say this is one of the best books I've read. It was very uplifting, there were times that I had to stop reading and give God praise. I am so thankful that I know Christ. Omega, Mitchell and Mrs. Helena had gifts of visions and discernment. They obeyed the spirits call and were great intercessors. I can't wait to see what happens with Omega's family.

Day Not Promised

The title lived up to its name. Pat had a book filled with people who thought they had another day and it wasn’t promised. I loved the scriptures that were quoted and the sermons and testimonies. A well written story. Omega and Mitchell was a perfect romance. I can’t add or subtract anything from their connection as a couple. I hope we are not done with Tally and Randall. Delta has a book of her own too. Live today and give your life to Christ.

Holy Ghost power couple!

This book is fiya🔥❗I always appreciate the author's writing✍🏾 her dedication to praying, bible scriptures, sermons, repentance of sins, baptism in Jesus' name, bible study and Holy Spirit baptism. But, this book reads like a bible study guide on steroids. I believe in angels because Elisha experienced them in 2 Kings 6:16-17 and Hebrews 13:2 advises to be aware. As an addition, a romantic relationship occurs.

Pain to Praise

Omega Addams and Mitchell Franklin share a near death experience. What will this do to their lives, do they draw closer to God? How will this effect their personal and professional lives?
