A really unique, inspiring, relatable and sometimes funny story of a 19 year old woman’s discovery of Islam (in 1992, before many people in the UK knew much, if anything, about Muslims). I learned a lot about what Islam really is, what Muslims believe, how they practise and why, and it was fascinating to learn this through the eyes of someone with a similar heritage to me. It was also inspiring to consider the pathways that having an open mind and heart can lead us down. A compulsive and enlightening read!
