MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
#iReadBookTours

Rusty Goes to Water World (The Adventures of Rusty the Forgotten Fire Engine) by Joe Fisher is another exciting book in this series and I am honored to review this one too. A little different from the first book. The students at the elementry schoo take Rusty on their year end school trip at Water World. When they had water problems, it was Rusty to the rescue. Everyone was so excited, but mostly Rusty found there were things he could still do.

This is such a sweet story. What a clever idea to use a fire engine, that started out being a shinny red truck and ended up a Rusty mess that couldn’t be used. But that all changed at Water World. Rusty found he was still needed, no matter how Rusty he had gotten. Children will love this sweet story and will love looking at the adorable illustrations that so vividly shine on each page. What fun they can have making up their own stories about Rusty. These two books would be amazing in elementary classrooms and libraries as well as any daycare. I highly encourage you to check out both of these Rusty books.

A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

I love this series. In the second installment, Rusty is back, and the townspeople are so thankful he saved them from the "Summer like no other" they want to celebrate him. Time passes with no celebration being planned and it seems everyone has forgotten about Rusty. Not so fast, there is a group of students who have not forgotten and invite him to be a part of their end of school celebration.

This book begins where the first ended, we see familiar faces while meeting a few new characters. The themes of appreciation and respect continue and the book ends with Rusty getting the respect he always deserved. I hope there is a third book in this series. The writing is excellent, and the illustrations are gorgeous. These books are so colorful and engaging that I could see them being read again and again.

I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Joe Fisher and iRead Book Tours. I'm excited to be a part of this tour.

I adored the start of Joe Fisher’s The Adventures of Rusty the Forgotten Fire Engine series, Rusty The Forgotten Fire Engine, and I was excited to have the opportunity to read the next book in the series, Rusty Goes to Water World. This time around the people of Someport-by-the-Sea are honoring Rusty. It was fun to see what happens and seeing how the adventures will unfold. I like the lesson of not giving up and stepping in to help a friend. I loved it taking this this cute journey with Rusty and his friends.

Rusty Goes to Water World is illustrated by the talented artist, Jaye Boswell. The colorful and vivid pictures perfectly go along with the story and were a perfect addition to the tale. They are helpful with keeping the younger readers engaged and understand as to what is going on.

Rusty Goes to Water World will be getting a very well deserved five plus stars. It would be a great fit for readers who are between the ages of three and eight. I would love to see it on shelves in local libraries and classrooms for story times. I look forward to reading the next installment from the The Adventures of Rusty the Forgotten Fire Engine series to see what else happens to Rusty the Fire Engine. This one should not be missed.

I received a hard cover copy of Rusty Goes to Water World from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

In this second storybook about a forgotten fire truck named Rusty, we see him off on yet another adventure. The town still remembers his heroic actions from the summer and want a way to continually remember him. The mayor thinks a park dedicated to Rusty is just the thing. I chuckled a bit about the poor fellow whose job it was to find a place for the park, Mr. Whistle. He needs his own story.

Well time is passing, and the people have forgotten mostly, except a classroom of kids. They want to take Rusty to Water World. And what a fun day they have until something happens to derail their happiness. However, Rusty the still very useful fire engine saves the day (and the park) once again. Maybe the mayor's dream will come true. Poor Mr. Whistle.

This was a fun addition to the first. I am glad Rusty is still showing how to be useful. I also really enjoyed the illustrations. My family has been going to a lot of amusement parks, so it was neat to see a whole map of the park in the book.

I was provided a copy of this book by the author. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.

Rusty the Fire Engine is at it again! The town is so grateful that Rusty saved them in the Summer Like No Other, that they want to do something to commemorate it. As time goes by, nothing is done, and it seems like everyone has forgotten Rusty again. But a clever group of students hasn’t forgotten him and asks if he can be part of their end of year celebrations. So, Rusty accompanies the class to a waterpark and when the pump breaks, saves the day again and finally finds a home where he will never be forgotten.

This sweet story follows from Rusty’s original adventure with more fun and familiar characters. Carrying on with the theme of remembrance and appreciation, the story has a wonderfully satisfying conclusion that sees Rusty finally get the respect he deserves. The active illustrations brings the fun of a waterpark to life and the humour carries on from the first book seamlessly. Another delightful read and a wonderful book to read together as a family.

A sincere thank you to the author for a review copy of the book.

This is a very cute children's book! I loved reading it and sharing with my son! He is really little, but we love to read to him and this was a fun one!

I will say I have the Kindle version and I would definitely recommend getting the paperback because I am sure that it is even more enjoyable in color. The pictures were so cute, even in my black and white version! This is a great story to share with your child or even your classroom. It has a wonderful story about how everyone is important, has a role to play and that it doesn't matter how old you are or what you look like!

The story is great, even though we didn't have the 1st book, it was easy to catch on to why things were happening in this 2nd installment. It was well written not only to read as an adult but enjoyable for the children too! I personally loved the rhyming element that went along with a lot of the story and the pages that seemed almost like it was a song! I recommend this to any parent or even grade school teachers to have in their libraries!

I have thoroughly enjoyed both books about Rusty the Fire Engine. He’s such a positive role model for children to follow. He loves to help people out when things don’t work well. So, when the children at the elementary school take him to the water world park things aren’t going too well. But, here comes Rusty to save the day!

The characters that are illustrated are so expressive that it really helps children understand the nuances in the language. These two books are excellent books. I like the old school classic-style books and I see this book sticking around for a long time.

Ivoluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

This is a delightful book about a little red fire engine that saved the townspeople of Someport-by-the-Sea. The mayor wants to honor Rusty by naming a park after him but can’t find the right place for Rusty. It is now the end of the school year, and the elementary students take Rusty with them to celebrate at Water World. Once again, Rusty will save the day for the people of Someport-by-the-Sea.

The vivid illustrations capture the fun the children are having at the park. They also help convey the message of the story – sometimes the solution to a problem comes from an unlikely source. It is perfect for leading to a discussion of thinking outside the box.

Perfect for all those little girls and boys who may be obsessed with fire engines.

I chose to read this book after receiving a free copy from iRead Book Tours. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Once again, poor Rusty the old fire engine is forgotten even though he’s a hero. Some children still remember him, though, and want him to go to the water park with them. Rusty saves the day again, but this time, he’ll be remembered!

Rusty Goes to Water World is another fun book for children, best read aloud to younger children because there is a lot of text. The illustrations are great with bright colors.

Very cute story that is a great read-around for parents and children! The story is engaging and the illustrations are et-catching and give you lots to look at. The book is probably most suited to 4-7 year-olds, but the reading level is probably closer to 3rd grade (and some 3rd graders:independent readers might be interested in the storyline, but it does fear younger).

First, I'd like to extend a big thanks to the author, Joe Fisher, the illustrator, Jayne Boswell, the publisher, Angler Publishing, and Goodreads for the privilege of being able to win this children's picture book in a giveaway.* I'm very happy to be able to read and review both the first and second books about Rusty, as I was lucky enough to win both books in digital format.

This return to the story of Rusty the Forgotten Fire Engine finds him saving the day again, for schoolchildren at a waterpark! This is a very sweet and kind story, sure to imbue children with a new perspective for old or broken items. The illustrations are very cute, with lots of children and fun colors and Rusty will appeal to children who are interested in fire engines, for sure. I would definitely recommend the Rusty series of books to any child with an interest in fire engines/firefighters/trucks. I think these could very easily be enjoyed by all children and adults alike, considering the lovely themes and unique illustrations. The cover is nice and gives a good tone for what will be in the book.

*My opinions in this review are my honest feelings and I was under no obligation to leave a review.

A nice read

It was fun and I wish the text was formatted in a more compatible way with the illustration, maybe more bouncy. Some pages were too wordy.
