Bitter Vows was a phenomenally spectacular book loosely based on Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf.
Scarlett is a young, somewhat naive woman, who has grown up in a wealthy family full of secrets. But she is excited to venture out to find her place in the world. Along comes Lycan, a predator in a custom made suit, and he has set his sights on the beautiful red headed young woman who belongs to the Bardot family.
This story takes the reader on an adventure into the world of lust, sensual desire, and deceit that keeps the the reader riveted and totally enthralled.
Oh my goodness Dani Rene, you can't leave me hanging and gasping like that!

I am loving this sensual retelling of Little Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf, and of course The Hunter!
Lycan and Scarlett's story continues in Bitter Truths and it was spectacular!
This story starts off with her being in Darius's basement after being kidnapped in Bitter Vows! Oh my goodness, poor Scarlett, she has had a rough time in her life. She still has fire and sass though, and she's not afraid to talk back to anyone who tries to push her around.
And let me just say that smexy scenes had me fanning myself, it was the hottest scene I have ever read!

I can’t put into words how much I adored this duet.
Wolf and his Little Red had a very unconventional beginning but their story was filled with suspense, tension, romance, spice and soul crushing secrets.
I was hooked from the beginning and didn’t want their dark and delicious story to end.
Honestly Lycan has me in a full blown chokehold, if my father signed my hand in marriage to him I’d jump into his arms and run off with him into the forest… he’s the blue print for ‘touch her and I’ll kill you’.
Like my lordddd 😩 The things he’ll do for his Little Red had me swooning, blushing and flustered as fuck! That man has such a huge fucking heart and she strolled right on in and claimed it for herself before he even realised.
Don’t even get me started on Darius… I hated him and I mean HATED HIM, but fuck me when you learn the truth my heart shattered… absolutely devastating. You can completely understand his actions and feelings, even though he’s the kind of guy who’ll shoot first and ask questions later. I need to read his story as I know it will be phenomenal just like this one. Darius deserves nothing but love and happiness and I hope he gets it.
This tale may be dark and twisted but it’s one you won’t want to to put down. You’ll never forget it 🖤

Bitter vows.

I absolutely love this couple, I first read a snippet about scarlett and lycan in slaybelles and mayhem anthology so was giddy with excitement to get a full book on them.

I dived straight in and my god its good...I mean REALLY good, I couldn't put it down, I read it in one sitting I was completely hooked from the first page.
Scarlett has her life mapped out, she knows what she wants to do and what she has to do to get there, untill a contact is signed and her life changes in ways she could never imagine.
Lycan demands obedience,  hes devilishly handsome and commands respect in all things.
I absolutely love them both, Scarlett is fiesty and headstrong , Lycan is dark and brooding.

Bitter vows ends in a cliffhanger, bring on bitter truths,  I'm desperate to find out where thier story takes them.

After reading bitter vow I was eager to get my hands on this and my god, its soo good, the anticipation and anxiety that coursed through my veins reading this had me on the edge of my seat.
With all books by dani from cover to cover I was completely consumed, lycan and scarlett held my complete attention, I love this couple.
This duet took me on a wild ride, love lust and lies all held together in a beautiful story that will stay with me for a long time

Bitter Vows

What a dark, delicious ride this story takes you on! It’s full of mystery and lust and you will fall in love with the characters, Lycan and Scarlett. These two come together under unusual circumstances yet I just know that somehow they will end up together, but life can be funny and not always work out the way you want.

This author tells this story in such a way, you can feel all the intensity of emotions the characters are feeling. Scarlett is a young woman who gives Lycan a run for his money. He is expecting a scared, young girl, but she proves him wrong time and time again. Lycan is used to getting his way, so when Scarlett challenges him, I love his reactions. These two also have remarkable chemistry and I enjoyed their interactions. When someone from Lycan’s past threatens both of them, he is determined to protect her and will do anything to make sure of it. While this story does end in a cliffhanger, I can’t wait to find out more about Scarlett and Lycan and am anticipating an epic finale!

Wow! What an epic conclusion to this duet!! It takes up where we left off in Bitter Vows and from the very first sentence, I was hooked again! After what happens at the end of book one, my heart was beating so hard and I needed to find out what happens to Scarlett. She wonders if Lycan will search for her after what happened?

So much goes on in this story that will make your head spin. There is mystery, suspense, and so much lust and love! And I loved the dynamics and interactions between Lycan and his brother, Darius. Will they be able to resolve their differences and protect Scarlett? Lycan and Scarlett are the type of couple who you know will weather any storm because they truly belong together. Their chemistry is like no other. Again this author just proves how talented she is by the fact of how invested I get with these characters. I don’t want to give too much away, but your mind will be blown and your heart will be full. Read this duet!!!

Lycan is an unforgiving, alpha dominant, a lethal combination. Scarlett surprises him like no other woman ever has. She is fiery and spirited and that only burns his desire for her more than ever. Scarlett is not as chaste as she first appears. She has deep and dark hungers that Lycan brings to the surface. The sexual chemistry between these two sets your body and mind on fire.

There is a feverish tempo that drums with the suspense and the many skeletons in the closet that are hidden away. I absorbed the darkness in their story like a sponge and I cannot wait to pick up the threads where this story left off.

I have always believed something magical happens when you read an extraordinary book. Lycan and Scarlett's story is such a book. Scarlett had always hoped to meet a man that would understand her innermost desires and cravings. She found that with Lycan. Scarlett waited for that one person to complete her and that person was the one she least expected it to be.

Lycan lived a life that overflowed with lies and deceit. No one understood the hell he constantly felt inside. When he was with Scarlett, he felt a calm he never experienced before with a woman. He was broken but she made him feel whole again.

Together they were strong to handle all the deceptions they both experienced in their lives. With all the emotional baggage they both carried, could they possibly have a Happily Ever After? The conclusion to Lycan and Scarlett's story is so moving and touching, you will need to have the tissues handy.

I read a short preview of this book in Slay Belles and Mayhem anthology and couldn’t wait for more!
Dani Rene delivered a dark and delicious retelling of a Little Red Riding Hood with a great twist!

Scarlett Bardot is a young woman who is eager to finally leave her wealthy parents' home and start living her own life. But all her plans go bust when she gets kidnapped by Lycan and learns she has to marry him per the contract her father signed.

Lycan Shaw is an alphahole you will love to hate. He’s ruthless, arrogant, and unapologetic in taking what he wants. The moment he sets his eyes on Scarlett, she is what he craves. And Scarlett may come as naive but she was strong and showed a good backbone. I loved their push and pull.
And talk about sizzling hot chemistry! Lycan and his sinful, dirty mouth are guaranteed to make you blush!

The story is filled with mystery and family secrets that will keep you turning pages.
There were so many twists in this one! I really thought I knew where the story was going, but of course, Dani wouldn’t make it that easy. It was filled with lies, secrets, betrayals and revealed lots of bitter truths.

I loved how Scarlett developed and grew into a strong, confident woman. Lycan also showed more depth and we saw his more gentle and caring side. And their chemistry and steamy scenes were even hotter than in the first book!
We also learned more about Darius, and I can’t wait for his story!

Crimson Falls duet had mystery, suspense, likable characters with great chemistry, and lots of sizzling hot steamy scenes. It was one of my favorite fairytale retellings!

Bitter Vows - This is one of those stories that you won't be able to put down so prepare accordingly. I'm not usually a fan of fairy tale retellings, but Ms. Rene has never disappointed me so I wasn't going to miss out on this one. I'm so glad I took the chance on it. It's dark, sensual, mysterious, full of suspense and secrets, and so much more. I would consider it a slow burn type of read, but it was still super sexy. The secrets and lies kept me intrigued and that hint of what was coming was intense. My favorite thing about this Ms. Rene's writing is her anti-heroes. She writes men that you know you should stay away from, but they captivate and all you want to do is see what they're going to do next. Lycan is exactly that. The sexy bad boy with too many secrets and everything about him is sinfully delicious. It does end in a cliffhanger that had me actually groaning out loud, and I'm glad book two is going to be released soon because I really need to know what's next.

Bitter Truths - This is book 2 and must be read after reading Bitter Vows. The story picks up right where the last one ended and it won't make any sense as a stand alone.
I can't believe how much I loved this one. Without giving away any spoilers, or any of the plot, there were some surprises that I wasn't expecting. Opinions I had developed were changed, things I expected to happen didn't go as I thought they would, and I'm anxiously waiting for more stories in this world.
Like always, Ms. Rene has written a beautiful, emotional, sexy, dark, exciting story that was hard to walk away from.

This is a dramatic, mafia story filled with vengeful, ruthless characters, caught in a web of intrigue, secrets and lies.

Scarlett comes from a privileged background. She’s beautiful and edgy, but ingenuous at times, being ignorant of the deceit surrounding her. Lycan is dominant, dark and ruthless, but he also has his own moral code to which he fiercely adheres. The unexpected chemistry between this ill-matched pairing leads to some truly passionate moments.

The author has created a gritty world where the characters are continually bombarded with harsh realities. Lycan and Scarlett’s relationship is constantly tested, and I love the strength of the bond between them, not to mention the desire that smolders and burns. And then there’s Lycan and Darius...these two brothers have such a complex and destructive relationship, and yet even in the darkest moments, I found myself hoping there could be a happy end for both these broken men

If you are addicted to gripping, unpredictable love stories with intrigue and heat in good measure, then this duet is for you...

Bitter Vows

Lycan" His name tastes like sin on my tongue and poison on my lips.

I was glued to the pages from start to finish as one of my favorite Arthur's takes us on a dark story of lies and family secrets and what was to be revenge turns into more. I love when this arthur takes us down the rabbit hole of a story that involves BDSM and darkness they just go hand n hand.
Scarlett is about to turn 21 in a week or so and doesn't know her whole life is about to change when she is introduced to Lycan Shaw who is a friend of her parent's he takes one look at her and becomes entranced knowing she'll soon be his. There are twists and turns that'll have you trying to figure out what's going on and that ending omg I did not see that coming I need Bk2 stat.

Absolutely loved this book as this arthur takes us back where the 1st book left off at and let me say this much you are in for one hellashes twisted turn of events phew. I love it when Dani takes us on a dark and dirty tale, because this lady can get down in the dirt and play dirty she just speaks my kind of dirty darkness. If you haven't started this series you definitely should, but you need to read Bk 1 just to know wth is going on. These book's are so good don't miss out.

Scarlett is young and naive, with so much hope and faith for her future away from family wealth. Until Lycan comes along. Arrogant, ruthless, unapologetic asshole who seeks revenge on Scarlett's family, and there’s no better way to achieve this than by marrying her through a binding contract over her father’s debt. And what meant to be a simple deal, in no time start to become sth more intense and addictive, including feelings and emotions, pushing boundaries and discovering new territories. With Hunter (Darius, Lycan’s brother) coming along the way, and Grandma’s lies, nothing seems what it is even more for Little Red and Big Bad Wolf. Lycan himself is an intense man and a lot to take, his need to possess and dominate is overwhelming. And Scarlett is a perfect sub to meet his dark needs, and at the same time fulfill her own darkest desires.
Dark, intriguing, gripping and intense. Complex storyline perfectly built on secrets, lies, deceit. Slow burn with tension gradually building up, in such a consuming way, to maximize pleasure of reading. Suspenseful, angsty and emotional, sensual, sexy, steamy and kinky scenes let imagination run wild.

Bitter Vows: Bitter Vows by Dani is a great play on little red riding hood. Scarlett went to her grandmothers house for the summer and never expected to find the big bad wolf running after her in the woods. Lycan had a signed contract that Scarlett was his now he had to prove to her living in the wolf's den isn't as bad as she thinks. But can the big bad wolf actually have a heart? Scarlett doesn't want to admit to her future, but she can't ignore when she sees under the wall Lycan has put up that there is a man and she wants to either heal his heart or break it into pieces.
Bitter Truths: Lycan and Scarlett’s relationship does not start out as any should, but they are not like anyone either. This conclusion to the Crimson Falls Duet is a wonderful tale. Our families may not end up being who we thought they were, but as long as you stay true to your heart and mind you may just find happiness and a fairytale ending.

Bitter Vows What A delicious captivating story that I devoured, it's a puzzle filled with mystery, lies and dangerous games I really didn't know what was going to happen throughout the whole story.
Lycan is very possesive when it comes to Scarlett who was a very strong character and the lust and scenes are scorching.
I can't wait to find out what happens my head is spinning for the outcome and who is really the big bad wolf.

I Loved It what a heart pounding conclusion filled with such intense scenes filled with heartbreaking lies and danger I never knew what was coming next with the twists and turns all I can say is I am in love with these characters, Lycan, Scarlett and Darius and oh man you are in for a hot scene so get ready for the fire.
This is so well written they stay with you and are not easy to forget.

Oh my word. Being able to read a duet in one book makes me smile. This duet was so amazing I had to read it more than once. Dani has a way of capturing my attention and breaking me in a good way. Such an amazing duet.
