This is a good starting point for research in Jewish ethical viewpoints on bioethics. I write articles about the ethics of patenting genetic engineering from a Jewish viewpoint. This book's last two chapters, both about genetic engineering, spearhead Jewish thought in this field. While this book was written on the cusp of the biorevolution we are now in the midst of, it still contains some valuable lessons for a dilemma which will not go away. In particular, the last chapter, written by one of the named editors, discusses the golem, which continues to have relevance for this hot button issue. I recommend having this book on your bioethics book shelf.
