In sehr mächtigen Worten schildert Böckl die Geschichte vom Mühlhiasl, wie sie vielleicht gewesen sein könnte. Der Roman basiert auf den (wenigen) historischen Fakten, die von der Figur des Mühlhiasl bekannt sind. Alle belegbaren Daten sind im Anhang auch entsprechend vermerkt, was bei Romanen nicht so häufig vorkommt :-)
