Finished!!! Wow!! Loved reading Kates story. I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, I couldn’t put it down. I read it in a day. Just sums up a typical TA Rosewood book. Yet again I love how it is linked with the original storyline too, so clever.
At the start of the book I kept thinking what is Katie doing…..why is she making them decisions. She deserved better.
What an amazing read! I was completely in love with this book before I picked it up as I had read all the others but after I was left shocked at how much poor Kate could put up with! A tearjerker with some twists and a must read. Well done on another brilliant book T A Rosewood!
Telling Lies. by T.A. Rosewood. Kate as a young girl loses her mum to cancer .. she doesn’t have a dad in her life … but has a very loving aunt and uncle who have taken her in as their very own to help bring her up .. she has always had a great life with them. On her 21st birthday at her aunts house where she is having just a small gathering of her closet friends she meets Dan who is a friend of her uncles … typical stereotype footballer muscles .. looks .. and charm. He is so nice .. they end up a couple .. but a lot of things he is saying may not ring true … she needs answers but will the truth be told! A lot of intrigue … mystery …….. and lies! A good read and worth getting. Enjoy.
Intensely captivating as a toxic relationship begins with a series of red flags. The story continues the series in an interesting way to tell the story of Kate, introduced in the last one. Providing more insight into her life and tragic story.
Another highly absorbing read Having enjoyed both Reasonable Lies and Secrets and Lies, I was keen to immerse myself in the third part of this series. While cleverly linked together, all three can be read as standalones as their connectivity is not essential to enjoy each individual story. In Telling Lies, much it focuses around an exciting, but dodgy relationship which builds between main character, Kate, and the new-on-the-scene love interest, Dan. As the journey unfolds, Kate discovers there’s a lot hidden below the surface. The truth is somewhere to be found, but it’s not only in Dan’s direction where things are not all they seem. No spoilers, you’ll just have to read it for yourself.
It's strange to go into a story knowing the ending, but I tried not to think about what I knew was inevitably going to happen, and I think that was the best thing to do.
Reading about Kate and Dan was unsettling. The author did a great job of creating that wonderful psychological thriller feeling where you're nervous to find out what happens next. I was hooked from the start and dreaded finding out (but desperately wanted to know) more about Dan. His behaviour was erratic and the way Kate seemed so willing to look past it was on one level unbelievable and on another completely understandable. Who doesn't want to see the best in their new partner?
Lies remain at the centre as always in these books, and the story held its own, melting effortlessly into the end of Sarah's Secrets.
It's another beautifully heartbreaking tale by T.A. Rosewood. Highly recommend.
Telling Lies, the last of the Rosewood Lies series and it hit hard. One of those you sit with for a while when it ends, taking it all in.
As a psychological thriller, this is different to the rest of the series, but no less addictive and the links to Book 2 are nice and familiar.
This is Kate's story. There's a loving aunt and uncle, an amazing friendship with Leo and then her whirlwind romance with Dan, the dark and mysterious closed book with an instant attraction between them.
With hidden pasts, both Dan's and her own, Kate is on a path of discovery and all you want for her is the very best.
In typical T.A. Rosewood style, it will pull at your heartstrings and have you reading through the night.
You may also wonder what you'd do in Kate's shoes...it had me torn at times!
I think this could definitely be read as a stand alone...but then you'd be missing out on the rest of a brilliant series!
Another heart wrenching read that took me by surprise!
I was instantly hooked from page one as it jumped straight into the action.
Kate meets Dan on her 21st birthday. Dan is charming, attractive and affectionate from the start and it doesn't take long for Kate to fall head over heels for the new man in her life.
But it doesn't take long for red flags to appear and when Dan does a disappearing act Kate recieves a mysterious letter explaining that Dan isn't everything he seems. Kate wants to know why Dan has been lying to her all this time.
Some of the scenes between Kate and Dan were really intense and I felt compelled to keep reading to find out more.
T.A Rosewood writes with ease on difficult subjects and really knows how to keep you on your toes! I would have liked to have known more about Dan in the end but overall another book I have loved and stayed up late reading way past bedtime.
As the story unfolds you're left wanting to know just how many people in Kate's life are telling lies.
A huge thank you again for letting me be a part of this fantastic book tour!
