RETURN TO FAERIE, WHERE EVEYRTHING IS NOT AS IT SEEMS. Amaryllis, daughter to Ravynne and Nyx, has spent her entire life without magic. Day by day she has come to accept that she may be the first faerie without magic. Hidden from the world and unable to travel to Faerie, Ama finds a familiar routine. That is until three faerie strangers burst into her home. Drawn to the broody, domineering Eleazar, Amaryllis begins to uncover more about the world and the magic faeries possess. As her father leaves with the others to return to Faerie because trouble stirs, she finds herself following in their shadows; needing answers. When Amaryllis finds that she holds Fallen magic, a forbidden magic that sentences her to death if anyone discovers her, she can only survive by blending in. That is until she realises her magic might be the solution to the problem in Faerie. As her world collides with Eleazar's, she can only hope her secret won't tear their growing bond apart; for he is the hunter, bound by magic to rid the world of Fallen magic wielders. Can she hold her secret close, saving those she cares about most? Or will she fall to the darkness, dooming them all?
I received this Book as a Beta Reader so here it is my little Stalkers: Amaryllis is how I would envision a child born from a power couple! When she decided to follow her intuition, like her mother, she finds herself in more mortal danger than she can bargain for or can she? Eleazar follow his duty’s trying not only to protect but also to fulfill his oath or is he not? Their Love is so bitter sweet you immediately want to have the same please! I am still waiting!! Nothing is as it seems in Fae land so come in and find yourself in a Book more than you have bargained for. This one is such a must-read series for everyone who not only loves but dives in Fantasy books. Well done Shana!
Shana has really stepped up her game with this one. This is the story of Amarillys who is the daughter of Nyx & Rav who we meet in book one. Amarillys has been sheltered by her parents, therefore at 22 she knows nothing of fae lore or magic or the land of Faerie. She finds herself enamored with one of her father's best friends who literally comes to her rescue. This has a great plot and I'm not going to say anything else as...spoilers
Although this is a YA fantasy, readers of all ages will enjoy, and for those that like spice, you won't be disappointed!
Right off how Amma sees & describes her self is heartbreakingly honest; as it is a true reality that is faced among many. Her parents, as is out here in the real world are irritatingly protective out of love. There were so many moments I wanted to throttle Amma for how she was acting but that just shows how beautifully convincing this book is written.
It is real, no sugar coating or frills to me personally and still the world building is lively and full of spirit.
Shana's world building is amazing, she really brought the world of Faerie to life. I'm so glad we got to explore more of their world and the beasts that live in it.
I loved the magical system, we got to see more of it in this book, as well as the gods!
We have a strong female lead with a sexy as hell partner in crime, with some spice (not to much) to top it off. There were characters I could hate and ones I fell head over heels for!
I was lucky enough to be a beta reader, in exchange for an honest review. Thankyou Shana for the opportunity, I've fallen in love with your world. I hope we get to go for round three 🙂
Oh my God. I got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. I was gripped! Couldnt put it down all I knew was that I needed to finish this book. It completely blew my mind. It managed to challenge my high expectations
