This treasure was republished in the bicentennial year of 1976 by the Mission Peak Heritage Foundation, in a prodigious effort coordinated by Stuart Guedon and Dr. Robert F. Fisher. The Bicentennial edition was printed by Valley Publishers, of East Olive Avenue in Fresno, and the large scale original plates reside in the Museum of Local History archives' cold room, Mission San Jose, CA.

The boundaries of Niles School District are quaintly described on page 28 1/4, the map of Niles at 40 chains to the inch is on page 41, and the plat of the old town is on page 129. The Plateau Ranch of A. Rankin, Esq. is shown on page 150, complete with little vineyard, perched above Niles Canon.

On the school statistics page, it notes that Niles had 51 pupils, 28 boys and 23 girls, and that the school was maintained for 8 months in 1877.
