Holy Moses! We have been deceived! Pervasive propaganda paints America as systemically and irredeemably racist. Americans are being purposefully deceived into believing that our American Constitution is a relic of the past and must be reinterpreted with the times. They are being conditioned to "burn it down." What will replace it? The answer should concern every freedom-loving American. The book explains the threats facing our nation, the tools used to divide us, a retracing of how we arrived at our current situation, an assessment of who is most culpable for our present state, and what to do to stop it. American Gaslighting exposes the psychological techniques that are particularly effective against people who don't routinely exercise critical thinking skills. American Gaslighting sets the historical record straight. It is a vital read for informing every American that receives only a steady diet of America-hating propaganda.
Daniel Shyti has revealed the far left’s playbook for the dismantling of The United States.
The worst part is that it’s happening under our collective noses all in the name of ‘righting the wrongs’ of history and telling the ‘truth’ about the history of this great country.
Shyti smokes out the Marxist underpinnings of everything from CRT to the 1619 Project.
If you love America and want to KEEP it, read this book!
‘The intense criticism of the left is directed at the political leadership, not rank-in-file voters’
Author Daniel Shyti earned his degree Electrical Engineering from Pratt Institute, is a military graduate from Brooklyn Polytechnic University ROTC, and served in the US Army Signal Corps. He has held leadership positions in both the tech corporate and military world, and is the founder of 4 Power Leadership, a resource for mentoring and training leaders. His books to date – TEN TIMELESS RULES FOR LIFE, 4 POWER LEADERSHIP, and now AMERICAN GASLIGHTING.
Referencing the title, Shyti defines gaslighting as ‘abusers who manipulate and deceive, ultimately driving their victims to doubt the most basic elements of reality.’ The upfront, no holds barred presentation of the author’s philosophy is apparent in the Preface, as he states, ‘I am extremely concerned that we are losing our country. If we do not ignite a rebirth of the American spirit, we’ll soon reach the point of no return. I’ll also share with you that I’m a conservative thinker. I have not arrived at my beliefs whimsically or because I’ve gorged myself on too much Fox News. I’ve analyzed history. I’ve assessed human behavior. I’ve drawn from my life experiences and those of my parents. My conclusion is that people thrive best when we can exercise the greatest degree of freedom. That freedom can only be enjoyed when government power is contained. This is the fundamental tenet of conservatism – not the lies you hear on legacy media.’
At this particular time, when thoughts about politics are polarized as left vs. right, blue vs. red, progressive vs. conservative (or however the media is electing to phrase), Shyti steps onto the platform with vigor and fervor, expressing his concerns by presenting a history of the growing impact of propaganda (“Facts don’t matter to the propagandists. They believe that any lie can be covered with enough traditional and social media messaging…manipulating the mind through psychological techniques that are particularly effective against people who don’t routinely exercise critical thinking skills’), a history examining racism (‘woke ideology – one is awake and tuned into the belief that America is an irredeemably racist society worthy of self-loathing and contempt… wokeness is brainwashing and anesthesia role into one’), the concept of global socialism and control of worldwide economy, and a concrete definition of the left (‘total control by the government’), and right (maximum personal liberty with minimal government control’), and the spectrum of those poles is compared and contrasted throughout the book – reminding us of Lincoln’s statement, “A house divided cannot stand.”
A self-proclaimed conservative, Shyti places before every reader (despite polarity) a well researched overview of human nature, racism, Marxism, abortion, propaganda, and his closing statement of hope – ‘There is really only one identity that matters – the American Identity. That’s where each American commits to self-restraint, the rule of law, and equal justice under law…commitment to the Constitution as our unifying framework.’ Powerful and controversial, Shyti’s book deserves a wide reading audience, no matter the political inclination.
There’s a war being fought in American today – a propaganda war of words that threatens to tear the country apart. In Daniel Shyti’s scorching new book, “American Gaslighting,” the author breaks down “what freedom-loving Americans face, the tools used to divide us, a retracing of how we arrived at our current situation, an assessment of who is most culpable for our present state and what to do to stop it.” “American Gaslighting” is an eye-opening and enlightening investigation into how the liberal left in America is actively using propaganda tactics to shame its fellow citizens and ruin the country. This book sets leftist gaslighting ablaze once and for all. Shyti, a former vice president of a major technology company, is the son of immigrants from Albania who is the author of two other books and a graduate of Pratt Institute. He believes leftist and woke ideology are “powerful, organized and international forces aligned against the American political hierarchy whose agenda is global socialism and total control of the worldwide economy.” He writes that the “left represents authoritarian centralized government and is, in fact, a form of communism.” He also asserts that despite left-wing claims that fascism is a manifestation of the far right, it is, in fact, an extreme form of socialism “with a more nationalistic spin.” Throughout “American Gaslighting” Shyti makes the point that leftist gaslighters are attempting to demolish every American institution, historical reference and social and economic structure using as their tools racism, sexual identity, speech control and politicized science. He claims that anyone attempting to argue against this propaganda faces “cancellation – the public shunning on social media, loss of employment, censorship and character destruction.” Even more concerning, according to the author, are physical attacks and destruction by leftist mobs or corrupt government agencies. The primary weapons used to accomplish the ongoing “brainwashing,” Shyti says, are the 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory. Shyti claims “the ultimate goal is absolute power by making America conform to the emerging global socialism being pushed by globalist elites.” At its most extreme, this propaganda war is, at essence, a Marxist movement that seeks to replace the current system of capitalism and free market economics with “a centrally managed economy in the name of equity.” Shyti is never afraid to name names, including former President Barack Obama, Al Sharpton and other Democratic politicians, who he says are at the forefront of this movement. Among the other topics that Shyti addresses are basic human nature, racism, Marxism and even abortion. Despite the author’s relentless attacks on the left, he ends the book on a note of great hope, stating that the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights remain at the forefront of American democracy and identity. Shyti quotes former President Abraham Lincoln in saying, “a house divided cannot stand.” Shyti’s manifesto is an attempt to reconstruct the American political system with a giant hammer and an endless supply of sturdy nails. This book is an excellent starting point and instruction manual for the future of democracy. Highly recommended.
Finding a way through the blizzard of daily info bombardment is a daunting challenge, one that requires the ability to break the code of the master propagandists. American Gaslighting: How America is Being Systematically Taught to Hate Itself, by Daniel A. Shyti, reveals how to decode that language while also providing a history lesson that shows how the American political landscape evolved over the last 250 years, but especially the last 100 years.
This book goes deep into history with sufficient detail to give the reader enough info to understand the divisive cultural discourse flying around us every minute of every day. As an immigrant who found success in his adopted country, Daniel A. Shyti carefully makes his case on how to counter hard-core leftists who have burrowed their way into every nook and cranny of life in all Western countries. From climate change to race relations and on to abortion, all the most crucial issues are succinctly broken down and explained.
The author touches on one point I try to emphasize to others; the people who grew up and live in the relative safety of the United States have no idea what total government control is really like. I was in Moscow and Siberia in July 1992, right after the Soviet Union collapsed, and it looked like the end of the world. No power at night, no food on the shelves, buildings falling apart, huge potholes in the roads, no incentive to work, no manufacturing capability, no gasoline at the stations and a currency that was totally worthless—does this sound eerily familiar to what is going on in 2022?
Want to know how, why and what is tearing apart American Society and Western Civilization? Then read American Gaslighting… then read it again, and buy one for a friend.
American Gaslighting: How America is Being Systematically Taught to Hate Itself by Daniel A. Shyti is an eye-opening book that focuses on the current state of America, how to view the political developments from a different perspective, and a side of the country that not many people have knowledge about, or understand. The author references how modern changes have brought progress, unexpected challenges, and possible erosion in some areas of the country.
I found Daniel A. Shyti’s book illuminating and enjoyed how he brings a new lens to American politics while presenting some intriguing viewpoints on current events, including racism, socio-economic issues, equal rights, and many recent changes to laws that have impacted the lives of many Americans. The author also examines what he considers to be the hypocrisy of certain forms of media, which may appear to support the public while perpetuating a sense of self-loathing.
While some of the topics the author covers in this book are subject to controversy and criticism, he presents the information with a balanced and open mind that is commendable. The author remains relatively neutral throughout the book while tackling complex topics using personal views, facts, and research. The tone of the writing felt authentic as the author goes the extra mile to engage readers, even with unpopular viewpoints and options.
American Gaslighting: How America is Being Systematically Taught to Hate Itself is fascinating. The author does an impressive job of using real human stories and references to historical facts and research. Readers interested in politics and sociology in America will find this thought-provoking book to be as informative as it is illuminating. Readers will be drawn in by the straightforward ideas and message.
