This is one of the sweetest and most uplifting stories I have ever read. Which child hasnt experienced feelings of being left out, being unwanted amongst other children on the playground or in school. Every child matters, every child is unique and adds equal value to the group!! I thoroughly recommend this book to all teachers, childrens pyschologists and parents. Also adults will identify with their inner child through Asimina's beautiful writing. The wounds we carry from childhood can still haunt us today. The Book of Zero reminds us all: We are all useful - we all matter - we are all talented.

As a mom of a 10-year-old girl, I was intrigued to come across a children’s book about math, and The Book of Zero pleasantly surprised me! It’s not just about numbers—it’s about life, self-esteem, and finding meaning, all written in a way that feels very relatable and easy to understand. This book makes you look at the world in a new way and fit into it more harmoniously.

A great book for children age 4+.

Covering topics such as diversity, inclusion, courage, self -love, confidence and mindfulness, in a manner that children can easily relate to.

Using numbers as characters gives the story a playful twist whilst exploring how important Zero is.

So for anyone who is feeling shy or unimportant this is the book to read to gain self-worth and the courage to make friends and be heard.

This will certainly be a regular read in my Kindergarten class.

I loved the concept for this book and that it was inspired by Asimina’s daughter. It is such a challenge for young children to feel excluded and not valued by their peers. The way that Mama Zero handles this and talks with her about his/her feelings is wonderful. The message that everyone has value and the way that plays out with Little Zero making friends is something every child, young person, and adult will benefit from reading. I highly recommend getting this to share with someone you know.

Very well conceived and written. The book is easy to read but the messages are deep and many parents and children may identify themselves, at some point of their lives, with Zero. The approach of the mother Zero and the positivity of this book is valuable. I enjoyed it as a parent and both my younger child as well as even my teenage older child adored it! Highly recommended.

Super cute book! I love the combination of social-emotional themes (managing big feelings, navigating friendships) and mathematical concepts. I also really appreciate how the story introduces child to the idea of that we are able to play with numbers. The rhymes of the text are also great. Definitely recommend!

I loved the book. Simple words convey deep meanings. Short sentences easy to read and understand. Gives ground for opening and discussion with young children. I especially appreciated the mindfulness approach. The illustration is beautiful. Can be read again and again.

We love this book. It is a book that will grow with your child as the messages are simple but deep. It's our new favorite - and when I don't have time to read it to her, my little girl will sit by herself scrolling through the pages. We highly recommend it and will be gifting it to all her little friends.

This book is so dear to my heart! My daughter was 5 in Kindergarten, when she returned home one day and came up with the idea for this book. She started narrating the story to me, as we sat on the sofa one afternoon. She started talking about a shy little Zero, who felt lonely and isolated, hesitating to join in the game of addition with the other numbers. She took some paper and wrote the title: The Book of Zero. She drew some pictures in big pieces of paper and then stapled them all together with pride. The book had a happy ending with the numbers playing all together. I thought what a wonderful story! And so the journey begun...
I got the divine inspiration to complete the story (with little rhymes my daughter could read on her own) and to incorporate mindfulness tips for children, something I am very passionate about. My sister Maria happily added her beautiful illustrations and here you have our family creation: A children's picture book about courage, self-confidence and mindfulness. A book that helps parents validate BIG feelings and offers actual tips on how to handle them mindfully. We truly hope you and the children in your lives will enjoy our creation.
