I have just finished reading a heart of blood and magic by Jessica Ash.
This novel follows Cassie, Trina and Theresa on a journey through a porthal to the fae realm of underhill to escape from the black queen.
I enjoyed this book as it took me to another world and I was able to escape every day life.
I would recommend this book and looking forward to seeing what happens next.

This book was a free download from Bookbub. I was just starting to get into the story when it ended on a cliffhanger. I didn’t have enough storyline to become invested in the characters so I won’t continue the series. If you know the author and the characters, you might enjoy this but if it’s your first foray, I’d pass.

The characters are very tragic and beaten down in this novella, I can't wait to see them come into their own power, and they definitely have power. Excited to see where this goes.
