Absolute Garbage. Let me repeat that GARBAGE...
All I have heard out of this book is the most slanted view of our current political environment and attempting to sell it as an unbiased truth. If your intro to government teacher tells you to use this... find another teacher.
I am disappointed in the education system for allowing such garbage to continuously promote liberal agendas IN PLACE of a real education on how the government operates.
A decade ago I took the exact same political science class that my girlfriend is taking at the same college and she hasn't been taught half of what I learned in the first week of the course.
Books like this are the reason college graduates think that America is broken, has no future, and search frantically for radical change.

A good intro to What is American Democracy and governance about, how legislation is done , what is federalism ,bureaucracy ETC....
