She was cute and sexy…and had some serious issues with spiders! Sage DeSantis had fascinated Detective Arik Dorant from the first moment he’d laid eyes on her. She burned anything she tried to cook and had a knack for pretending he didn’t exist. She also had long, sexy legs and the most beautiful green eyes, but darkened with shadows of pain from her past. And something was wrong. Sage was scared of something, but Sage was determined to figure out the mystery on her own. But Arik was hooked on the lovely woman and he was determined to help her. Sage knew that Arik was a dangerous man. He saw things that she wanted to hide and he made her tremble with needs she’d long tried to suppress. Yes, he was dangerous. Unfortunately, Sage needed him. Was she going to be hurt if she let him into her life? Or was her painful past coming back to haunt her – and ruin any chance she had for happiness?

This is a short hysterical romance story in this awesome Wyoming Fever series. Sage is a very quirky lady and it will take a strong smart guy to keep her grounded and it turns out protected. Enter Detective Arik. He recently met this lovely lady and had an instant lusty crush on her.
Strange things have been happening around her home and Arik has determined that Sage has a stacker. She only recently moved to this small town so who could it be. Arik is on the case and staking his claim for this lovely lady. "Summer Heat" is a wonderful installment of this great series full of nice people. I read free in exchange for an honest review. Linda

While his partner, Simon and his new wife, Jade are away, they asked Arik to keep an eye on Jade’s sister Sage. Sage is a beautiful young woman who move to Wyoming with her sister Jade, but there is something wrong going on with Sage, something that is scaring her and preventing her from sleeping at night and strange things that are happening to her, like a huge scorpion in her house and a severe scratch on her arm and she refuses to say how she got it. But still Arik is very attracted to he and can’t bring himself to walk away from Sage and is determined to find out who is stocking Sage and trying to hurt her.

OMG, I love Sage and Arik story so much. I didn't think Sage story could beat Jade, but I thinks she did be a margin or to. Love the part about the vacuum and the big spider/scorpion. The real hero of this story was Minx and Xena and how they came to Sage rescue. I wish the story told what happened to the father and ex-husband, but overall another great story. Also, love the intro to Dean and Sylvie's story - Fall into Love.

I’m really enjoying reading this series and this addition is no exception. I love the introduction to the book and can easily visualise the vacuum cleaner flying. Arik and Sage are great and I enjoyed their interaction but for me the highlight of the book are the dogs. When I got to this part of the book I seriously wished it was a book with pictures because I really wanted to “see” them. All in all this book is great and I’d happily recommend it to anyone. My only regret is it wasn’t a longer book. I

I totally related to the opening scene with the spider...it made me laugh out loud. Arik and Sage were introduced in the first book of the series, Spring Seduction, but each book is a stand-alone. This story is a short, but fun read with a sweet romance, adorable companions, and some angst and criminal elements thrown in. It was great to get a snippet of Simon and Jade too. An enjoyable and quick read.

I loved Aric & Sage's story. There was plenty of humor, with a beautiful storyline of personal growth, and topped off with two animals finding their forever homes. I loved how everyone in the story had a happy ending! Elizabeth Lennox is a gifted writer and is always one of my one-click purchases. This book is definitely one to enjoy while relaxing on a beautiful spring/summer day!

A cute story

This is the 2nd book in the series and it was very good. This is Sage’s story, she is very beautiful, sweet and a little insecure. Her father and ex husband did a lot of damage to her self esteem. Arik, the H was very confident and handsome, he was very much in love with the h. The father was a big jerk. The dogs played a major role in the book. An epilogue would have been nice.

Funny, sweet and steamy, the second book in this series features Jade, a writer who is damaged from her upbringing and marriage but moved to start over.
I loved the way Arik helped Jade be independent as she wants but steps in when he knows she needs his help as a detective.
Can’t wait for the next in the series, and as always, it’s a stand-alone but don’t let that stop you reading the rest
