I was excited to read this book after reading the synopsis because I love visiting Yellowstone NP, and I was excited to read a clean romance with that setting. I thought the book portrayed the park pretty accurately, and there was a line, which I should have highlighted, that perfectly explained the peace and internal satisfaction I feel when I'm in the park. Becca is a strong, bold character who isn't afraid to go after what she wants. Elliott is more cautious because of past life experiences. I thought it was a sweet story, and I'd happily read a whole series set in the National Parks.

Becca and Elliot have a wonderful story. They had been young sweethearts. Becca left to attend nursing school in Chicago and stayed. Elliot became a Doctor. Neither of them tried to keep in touch blaming each other for not staying close. Now Becca has returned to help her mom while her dad recuperates from a stroke. Can they put the past behind them for a happily ever?

Great book!

I really enjoyed reading about Becca and Elliott's second chance at love. I think it about killed them both when she moved to Chicago to help her best friend through a difficult time. It warmed my heart to see them both softening toward each other, offering the proverbial olive branch. As with all Lucy McConnell books, the chemistry between them was off the charts, and I loved every second of it!

I like reading second chance stories. I find it fascinating that two people who once knew one another, meet again years later and find a new or renewed attraction. This book has a unique setting as a wilderness clinic in a national park that gives it a different perspective. It's a fun romantic read.

Sweet Second Chance

Elliot needed practice forgiving, and Becca kept working at it. Jason, Holly, and Emma are definitely my favorite side characters! Some scary stuff happens, but obviously it ends up okay! I loved the ending!
