If you're looking for an intellectual approach to an overall look at the Bible. Look no further.

This book is not the typical fluff piece that is abundant in today's market. It very systematically looks at every aspect that is our Bible, God's Holy Word. From the mysteries of the Bible, to Cracking the book wide open, from preparing our hearts, to contrasting with Science, the book analyzes every aspect in depth that relates to the Bible. There is a whole chapter on knowing God, as well as one that analyzes hope.

Santos looks at "our" plans vs. God's plans, and urges us to put our plans into His perspective. He explores Objectivity vs. Subjectivity. Gives us a detailed overview of the Old Testament, as well as the New Testament. An accounting of the history behind the Bible.

We are given some definitions that blow my mind, and excite me to the point, that I want to learn the language of the original text. Santos explores some false doctrine. I learned a few things. I love seeing other peoples thoughts, and things the Spirit has shown them. Interpretations differ between lots of people.

I did find a couple of items I'm not sure I can completely agree with, but I can't say they are wrong, cause the answers just aren't out there. After all my years of learning, I learned quite a bit with this look at His Book.

All in all, I would recommend this book, as a MUST read, for anyone that is serious about understanding The Bible.

Trusting God will work through you.

I picked this book up some time ago but never set down to read it. Bob connects spiritual truths to everyday life. His ability to distill difficult life events to scriptures amazes me. I appreciated his ability to speak to me in a simple and clear way. Thanks Bob.

The Touchpoint Connecting With God Through The Bible by Bob Santos is an excellent study book to help you embrace the Bible and to learn more about God. It explains that the Bible is much more than a rules book but it is a way that you can know God more intimately and to have a better relationship with Him by understanding Him better. One of my favorite chapters was on Old Testament Prophecy.

You know at times we all have struggled with reading and studying the Bible but this book helps us realize the Bible is more than just a rules book and history book. Bob Santos shows us it is our way to a better relationship with God. Just like we need to communicate with each other we need to be in touch with God and the Bible is our way to do that.
The author statement " The more I understand about the Bible, the more I appreciate its beauty, unity, and yes, even complexity." And also "Although once a skeptic, I now believe, along with a multitude of others, that the Bible is the most amazing book ever written." Pg 19 are so true and in reading this book he shows us the truth in these statements. His chapter on Cracking the Book was exceptional because goes through our excuses for why we don't read and study the Bible. He also gives tips on studying. In the chapter wrap up he says, "What we get out of the Bible depends on the effort we put into mining it's truths."pg222
I highly recommend this book, it is well worth reading.

If you want to get more out of your Bible study, learn more about God and form a more personal relationship with God then this book will help. This would be a good small group book to study.

I will be reading this book again.

I received this book from the publisher through bookcrash.com for my honest opinion and review.
