The essays in this exhibition catalogue were one big "huh?" They were flailing to come to terms with Morrison's art. One essayist compared it to everything monochromatic, from early Disney cartoons to Mt Etna, to The Wizard of Oz. Another wrote about other painters of " nature," straining to compare. Basically, they wrote about everything but Paul Morrison. I did appreciate reading about the film part of the exhibition, but clearly you just had to be there.
