“Unlike a Boss” is a must-read for people that are in college and working professionals. You can spot toxic leadership and you can learn how to be a good leader through this book. Make the workplace to be a better place. I learned a lot from the author about what is positive leadership. I had worked in a toxic workplace. This book is an eye opener!

The author examines crucial steps leaders must follow to be effective. Anybody can lead but, who’s following? The book describes steps to build relationships, communicate effectively, set realistic goals, effective ways to evaluate performance and many other valuable steps to become an effective leader. I can relate to the author’s stories based on my own personal experiences. The best and the worst leaders can help us become better leaders by learning from their mistakes and actions. I’ve worked in toxic environments that lack leadership skills. That’s the fastest way to demotivate your employees and affect the company’s bottom line!.

I absolutely loved this book.
A book on positive leadership, but one that also ‘highlighted’ the ‘bad’ leadership qualities as well, and it is a book I think should be mandatory reading for anyone heading into any type of leadership role.
Truthfully, the book highlighted things that seem like ‘common’ sense…but also seem to be lacking in society.
I also think this would make a wonderful book for just about anyone to read…because lets face—we’re all leaders at one point in our lives…
I give UNLIKE A BOSS five out five stars and recommend it for any book club to read and talk about.

Alexander N. Andrews book UNLIKE A BOSS should be a must-read for every single leader, the person who wants to be a leader, the person who is a leader, and the person who wants to influence leaders.
Its literally stuffed for a useful information, what to do and not do as a leader and how to spot areas of concern in your own and other's leadership approaches.
Knowing is the first part of the battle. Knowing what you are doing right and may be doing wrong.
This book will both confirm your good points and more importantly shine light on the areas you should work on!

I recently completed the book, and it resonates so much with me. Everything I learnt in 8 years of management, Alexander N. Andrews encapsulated in a book teeming with great examples and actionables.
Learning from a great book, saves so much heartache and headaches that ploughing through without guidance can cause.

I loved the conversational style of Unlike a Boss!! This is a great book for anyone in a leadership position. Truly, a must read!!!!!
