‘Why does he do this to me? I’ve gone from zero to sixty in seemingly no time at all. I’ve never once thought of Ty this way, and now it’s the only way I want him. I want him as my best friend, too. I just want all of him.’

Beau Tyed by Isabelle Peterson is a saucy and emotional story about childhood best friends, Ty and Beau. A gay for you, sweet and easy to read mm romance with two lads who realise in a chance moment that the friendship they have is actually so much more. We really enjoyed so many aspects of their journey together and have to say this is a great ‘Sunday on the couch’ read.

‘Ty looks into my eyes and I look back, pleadingly, hoping he can read my expression, asking if it was okay what I had done. I was just protecting my friend…The bigger problem is: I’m freaking out and I don’t know why. No, that’s a lie. I totally know why I’m freaking out. I just don’t want to admit it to even myself.’

Ty is an amazing photographer waiting to be discovered. A chance opportunity presents itself and his life becomes swept up in a whirlwind of change. Not only professionally but personally as well. Known as a Ladies man he has no strings but some would say he is searching to replace an intense moment from his teenage years. Put in a precarious situation with his new boss, Ty needs the help of his best mate, Beau to avoid anything that could affect his burgeoning career.

Beau is stuck on a path he’s not quite sure he wants to be on; romantically. Engaged to be married he is struggling both in his personal life and in his dreams to be an actor in more than just commercials. Agreeing to help Ty in avoiding his lecherous new boss thus jeopardising his booming career Beau agrees to play Ty’s boyfriend. This creates the moment that changes everything!

‘Maybe last night was just a curiosity thing. I’m not into guys. I’m just not. Last night was just about that high school feeling I’d had so long ago. It’s not like I thought about Beau that way.’

Beau Tyed is quite a hot whirlwind of a romance between two best friends, whilst quite emotional at times it was low on angst and high on friendship and passion. We fell in love with both boys, just wish we could’ve gotten to know them better before their relationship took a turn.

Whilst we absolutely enjoyed it, we did feel that there could have been more depth to the character development, we would have loved to have experienced the lead up to the moment when Beau and Ty became more than friends, rather than being told, we needed to feel the emotion of their friendship as well as respectively. That’s not saying we didn’t feel their connection nor their chemistry -we did- however the story felt quite rushed at times. The ending though was absolutely beautiful, so emotional and heart-warming.

‘Beau is my heart. Beau is the embodiment of love – and more. Unconditional love. True companionship. My other half.’

This book was a good read. I love reading MM romances, especially one's where a main character doesn't realise they have these sorts of feelings until something happens to make them see things differently. And that is what this book gave me, so I really enjoyed that aspect of the book. I did feel that the book didn't have enough character development, or situation development. It felt all felt too rushed to me and it didn't express the emotions of the situation and the emotions of the characters enough. I wanted to know exactly how Ty felt about his parents, I wanted that raw emotion. I wanted to know exactly how Beau was feeling about these new feelings, How he came to the decision to do what he did..

This book is a good read, don't get me wrong. And I know others absolutely loved it which is amazing, I just think I went into the book expecting a little more. The writing is engaging, and the characters were interesting. I liked the storyline and how the characters have been friends for a long long time. Some scenes are HOT! I would definitely be interested in reading other books that this author has to offer.

0.5⭐

OMG!

What an amazing story!

Beau Tyed is a standalone MM romance written by author Isabelle Peterson. As soon as I opened the book, I was hooked and unable to put it down. It had the perfect combination of heat and heart, and I was longing for the pages to never end.

Beau Tyed tells the story of Beau Thompson and Ty York, and they have been best friends since they were little kids. Ty recently was hired as a photographer for Drake magazine, and he soon finds himself telling Steve, his boss, that he’s gay in order to stop his advances. When Steve informs Ty of a company weekend event, he requests that Ty bring his boyfriend along.

Ty immediately thinks of Beau, and he asks him to pretend to be his boyfriend at the event. When Beau agrees, Ty starts thinking about that one time when he tried to teach Beau how to dance. Ty remembered how good it felt to be in Beau’s arms and wonders what it would feel like to be with him. The problem is that Beau is engaged to be married to Holly Pierce on New Year's Eve. How was Ty going to get through this weekend when he keeps thinking of that dance.

Beau Tyed is another fabulous story and my favorite so far from author Isabelle Peterson! This is one you don’t want to miss!

Beau Tyed...it's not what you are thinking right at this moment...Beau wasn't tied up...he MAY have been tied in knots...but not physically...or wait...maybe he was? You'll have to read to find out for sure. Ty York and Beau Thompson have been friends for ever. Things were never "like that" between them. Heck it really wasn't "like that" for them with any man. But when Ty hires his best friend to pretend they are together to reinforce his deception, things have a way of going astray...and astride. What happens when what should be fake, doesn't feel very fake anymore? I completely enjoyed this story and Isabelle brings us a fun, sometimes steamy friends to fake lovers to lovers story that you will enjoy as well.

I have been a fan of Isabelle’s books ever since she was writing Ditching the Dream. And the few m/m books she has written have been fabulous. It was an honor to read Beau Tyed. I absolutely loved it. 🥰🥰
When you read the blurb, is asks “What Could Possibly Go Wrong?”
Well let me tell you!! Beau and Ty have been friends their entire lives and not only that, but they both thought they were straight.
Isabelle told them “No You’re Not!!” LOL 😂
This is their story, friends to lovers.
What are you waiting for?? Oh, that’s right, release day. Well don’t hesitate, one-click this baby, you won’t be disappointed.

As they say 'the course of true love never did run smooth' and so does Beau's and Ty's journey echo that sentiment in a forest of thorns as two childhood friends hack their way out of the cage of societal exceptions of what a couple in love should look like and emerge a bit bruised but eternally victorious on the other side.

Meh.
Considering how the author went on and on in the fore- and afterword how it had been reedited and reread so. Many. Times. Now. this was poor.

Ripe in misogyny and bisexual erasure this book belongs to a time of the past rather than an edit… I worry how it used to be but it must definitely be quite old if the MC has platinum blond spikes and then has a gfy awakening (rolls eyes).

Ty is a photographer who has just landed his dream job, and to avoid drama he tells his new boss he is gay, which works well until he is told to bring his boyfriends to a company event, and now he needs someone to play the part. Beau is Ty’s best friends, and he is an aspiring actor, and he agrees to play the part of a fake boyfriend. What will happen when feeling and touches turn into something more? This is a good story which is a quick read, friends / lovers’ romance, with emotions, drama, friendships, and love, which leads to an enjoyable and steamy page turner.

Such a sweet story! Lifelong best friends, fake boyfriends, these guys score really high on the cuteness meter. Seeing them figure things out and face the future together was a wonderful thing.

***2nd Read***
I still love this book! Beau and Ty are great together. Their boyfriend act is played out well and quickly turns a bit too real for them both. There's several steamy scenes written so well. I loved how the tension is resolved. I enjoyed the added scenes I was able to spot (I'm not so good at this I have to admit). If you enjoy M/M romance, you should definitely check this book out!

***Original Review***
Absolutely loved this book! Do you ever find yourself getting emotional over a sappy commercial or an act of kindness? That's how I get with Ms. Peterson's books. I find that her writing reaches out and grabs a hold of my heart. It makes me feel such strong emotions. With this one it was mostly good emotions (there was one character that had my hate vibes going). I've always loved the message I've found in Ms. Peterson's books that love should be accepted in whatever form it comes in.

I love getting to experience the wild emotional roller coaster ride with her characters. Am I straight? Am I gay? He's my best friend. Can I have these feelings for him? I don't feel this way with anyone else. I get that this quick turn-around might not be for everyone. But it gets me every time.

I have unofficially dubbed Ms. Peterson the Queen of the Sex Scenes. Hers are filled with so much passion and told in a way that makes you feel it along with the characters.

I'm ready for the next book!

MINUS ALL THE STARS IN THE GALAXY!!! This book is a black hole ... seriously, this book is a malevolent space where stars go to die!!! I hated this book with a rare and perfect hate!!! This woman has NO business writing in M/M and her attempt here shows nothing but contempt and disrespect for the genre!!!! Blacklisted!!!
This woman needs to stick to M/F books [if she is even remotely good at them] because she clearly has NO idea what she is doing with M/M [to say this book and her writing here SUCKS, would be a massive understatement]!! Seriously ... how anyone could think there is anything good in this book is beyond me ... this "author" [calling her that is a fucking joke] does a HUGE disservice to not only M/M but it seems the LGBTQ community as a whole, and does a disservice to women as well!! I mean WHAT THE FUCK is going on here!! SUCH a mockery of things that are so important!!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BOOK WITH THE MOST ASININE PLOT AND THE SHITTIEST WRITING!!
There were SO many things done wrong here!! I'll elaborate soon!!

My favourite read of 2019 so far!this book blew me away and Isabelle-Peterson knocked this one RIGHT OUT OF THE PARK it’s one HOT STEAMY read that will make your toes curl, your eyes sweat and you will LOVE every page from start to finish!
This MM read is amazing, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t normally read this genre.
Ty - a photographer who accepts an amazing job at a magazine called Drape.
Although he is not gay Ty blurts out he was gay so there would be no problem with work/play with the models...
They realise their true feelings allowing themselves to love

When they both decide to reveal their feelings to their parents the reception Ty gets from his parents at first is not what he expects and suddenly makes him Question his feelings.
This is a HEA book that you NEED to read, you won’t be disappointed- you WILL be marking this as a top read of 2019!

Isabelle Peterson killed it with this one!

I absolutely LOVED this book and the characters! Ty and Beau have been friends basically since birth. They've grown up together and would do anything to help the other out. Ty has been a playboy of sorts hooking up with models he photographs. Beau is trying to make it on the big screen while occasionally doing some modeling to keep the bills paid. One little slip of the tongue and Ty is hiring Beau for quite the acting part! Will Beau be up to playing the part of Ty's love interest? Will this lead to a revelation that neither of them expected? 1-click your copy to find out!

This is a friends-to-lovers, MM romance that will definitely leave you swooning long after the last page!

Imagine finding out your best friend and the love of your life in one person! Beau and Ty have been lifelong friends. Ty seriously wants this job and will do/say anything to get it. When he blurts out that he is gay to get the job, he now has to show off his boyfriend at a work event. Thank goodness for his best friend Beau- he agrees to act as Ty's boyfriend. Acting leads to a night of passion and opening of eyes that maybe they have been more than best friends.....maybe they are each other's, one true love. Great beach read! A great read with some STEAMY scenes.

I absolutely loved this fake boyfriend, friends to lovers MM romance. Beau Tyed was an absolute page turner with a great storyline and amazing characters.

Beau and Ty are perfect together and their love and chemistry is undeniable. When Beau pretends to be Ty’s boyfriend, neither of them expect it to feel so “real”. Sparks fly, one thing leads to another and everything changes after one night of doing what feels “right”.

Another great story from this author! It's a friends to lovers story and one where they thought they were one way and turns out they were wrong. Yup I'm talking in riddles so read to find out what I'm talking about. You get to know the characters and the author is, as always, very descriptive in how she writes so you can picture what's going on in your mind (yup everything!). If you enjoy these stories then you'll definitely want to read this one!!

I read an ARC of this book. I loved the two main characters Ty and Beau. I love the friends to lovers trope, so, even better! You can feel their longing and see how it effects them as their feelings come to the surface. I love how open they are to being together even though they are "straight."

It was a realistic and okay book.

If cheating is a deal breaker for you then you shouldn’t read this book. But if you still want to give it a try I can tell you that it is a bit rushed but fairly realistic. I gave this book a 3.5/5 because it was fast paced and I wish it dove more into Ty’s emotions. I feel like I barely know him.

After reading the synopsis I definitely had my doubts. One of the comments said that the main characters were in likable characters and I think that maybe they represented how people are in real life very often enough that it made them uncomfortable.

Beau has a fiancé named Holly and I’m glad the author didn’t go out of their way to make us dislike her to the point where she was annoying. It’s clear that she liked Beau but they weren’t right for each other. She wasn’t supportive of his dreams and he clearly wasn’t IN LOVE with her but tried to marry her out of obligation.

SPOILERS
Ty had things to work on. He knew that he had feelings for Beau deep down but has kept them locked out of fear of losing his friend. That first night they were together Ty was ready to risk it all for Beau until Beau said that it was a drunken mistake. (That is when Beau first cheated on Holly). That is also the night when Beau figures out that he has actual feelings for Ty. When Beau breaks up her Holly and spends about one month happy with Ty then go tell their parents. When Ty’s parents don’t accept him he tries to break it off with Beau in an effort to stop being in love with him and win his parents back. But Beau waited patiently for him. He knew that Ty was hurting because of his parents. He owed it to Ty to not give up on him but instead make sure that he knew that he loved him.

That’s the biggest developing moment for Beau. Him accepting that Ty is hurting and embracing him anyway is a big moment. While technically Ty didn’t cheat because he broke up with Beau that night. He was trying to emotionally detached himself from Beau and I’m sure it hurt anyway.
END OF SPOILERS

It was nice to see that they had a happy ending. After everything they been through they know that they belong together. They have always been best together and they know how to care for one another. Beau wasn’t in the best circumstances for a relationship with Ty in the beginning because he was with Holly but they worked through what was thrown at them. Knowing this I can say that they can work through things in the future as well. Past what I read in the book I feel like their future as a couple is bright. They’ll be workaholics and they’ll have to find their way back to each other a few times but I really believe in them.

This is an M&M, friends to lovers romance with some pretty naughty scenes. I always enjoy the books written by Isabelle Peterson and this book did have me engaged in the first few pages. Beau and Ty’s story of ‘friends to lovers’ and the realisation that they don’t quite fit in their relationships because it’s not with each other is always a story line that I very much love to read.
This is a stand alone book so I understand the need not have many other characters in the book whose lives are explored but, I did feel that the book was blinkered to include just Beau and Ty and was missing some depth to the story that IP’s other books have in abundance. I also felt that the conclusion/ending of the book crept up very quickly leaving questions eg, how did they both feel when the relationship was rejected/dismissed by one set of parents, what emotions were involved and how did they overcome these important and potentially relationship changing issues? Personally, I am nosey and like to know all the facets of the lives of everyone mentioned in a book so that I feel like I am there with them and part of the family. I was happy though that they got their HEA in the end.

An entertaining read. A well written story that will keep you interested till the end. This is the story of Ty and Beau, the have been friends for every. Ty is a photographer and to secure his dream job tell his boss that he is gay. He isn't but he has to play this part. So when Ty is invited to the company's party, his boss tells him to bring his boyfriend. Beau is a struggling actor waiting for his big break. His fiancee isn't thrilled with his profession. So when he decides to help his best friend instead of planning their wedding she isn't happy. Ty needs his help and he is an actor so he can pretend to be his boyfriend. What could go wrong? This is just pretend, but what happens when it isn't anymore. The story was well written, with strong enjoyable characters with off the charts chemistry. You will enjoy this read.

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Let me explain why I'm giving it 2 stars:
Cheating. Not that there was cheating - it happens, it's real life. But it was the way it was addressed - or not addressed and ignored - is what bothered me. Beau cheated on Holly with Ty. Not only did he not feel guilt for cheating on his fiancee, but she wasn't bothered by the cheating, she was only concerned with praying for him to help him clear up his confusion - even though she hadn't been written in as religious at all. And then there's Ty - with barely mention of his parents and home life, he's suddenly thrown into such a turmoil over their rejection of him that he gets drunk, breaks up with Beau and cheats on him with a woman. And yet he feels no guilt over it, and Beau not only forgives him but it's not even mentioned that he's hurt by it. Cheating is cheating, regardless of gender. Don't ignore it, address it.

Ty is given a new career opportunity and saying that he is gay is what gets him the job. Fashion week ends with a party at his bosses house and Ty tells his new boss he is in a relationship because his boss has the hots for him.

The only solution open to Ty is to ask his best friend Beau to play the part of his boyfriend. Ty and Beau have been friends since birth and would do anything for each other. Knowing that with pretending to be partners, might mean they have to show affection for each other in public.
Both men struggle with their sexuality and eventually come to terms with their feelings.
You will laugh and cry with these men and fall in love with them too. I couldn’t put the book down till it was finished. I really enjoyed reading this book.

(4 stars)

When Ty got offered an amazing job his first stop was to celebrate with his best friend Beau. When Ty's new boss asks if he has to worry if Ty will be an issue with the models, to ensure there won't be an issue, Ty assures his boss with the uttered phrase "I'm gay". Now all Ty can think is what was he thinking, and now he has to find a "boyfriend". His first thought is Beau, who happens to be an aspiring actor, who of course is willing to play the part of "boyfriend". What happens when the liquid courage and the touches that were just meant for show start to have an effect?

This was a good quick read; with loads of drama, and some hot naughty bits. I give this 4 stars.

Ty and Beau are friends and have been for a long time. Ty has a job as a photographer but he also has a lecherous boss who he puts off by telling him that he has a boyfriend. When he is invited to work event with his partner he asks Beau to be his pretend partner. However, like so many things that start out as pretend the line gets blurred. Although Beau is engaged to marry a woman, are they acting out their reality as a couple? This is a delightful story of the awakening that sometimes comes when one least expects it.

Best For both

This book is about Ty. He is a struggling photographer who is trying to make his way. He gets the chance of a lifetime thrown at his feet. He is asked if he can keep himself away from the female models. Not thinking he says no problem. He is gay. It is fine until he needs to go to a work party. And asked to invite his boyfriend. His best friend from birth is Beau. Beau is a struggling actor looking for a part. How hard would it be to act gay for a weekend. Seeing Beau is going to be married what could go wrong?

Love this!

This is the first time I’ve read Ms. Petersen and I truly loved this story. There were a couple of things that I didn’t agree with and won’t spoil it for anyone by mentioning them. But I have such a soft spot for the friends to lovers trope. I love that Ty and Beau have been friends their entire lives. Only after their first time do they realize the feelings they have for one another.
