George Braziller. By John Elderfield, Curator of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art, who "discusses the genesis and development of the cut-outs and their place in Matisse's oeuvre and in the art of the twentieth century" in his Introduction. Beautifully illustrated in color and black and white. The book measures about 8 3/4" X 11 1/4" X 1/2" and has 127 pages.
This book would be perfect if all the works were in color. Who prints half an art book in black and white? I got the text to use for demonstration and I really wanted full page prints. I cannot use slides or a projector. It's not easy to find a text this size that is perfect but it is close.
