Sweet natured Oran, who is one of Colleen’s sons, is ready to marry and has sent for a mail order bride. Sadly, his wicked mother destroyed his self-esteem before she died when he was but a teenager. He is assured no woman would love him, just for him. They would only want to marry him because of how successful his family is.
Olivia barely escapes death on the ship she is on with her husband of convenience. He perishes in the explosion, and she realizes she is relieved. She is alone in the world now, however, and needs to figure out how to survive. When she sees a dashing, beyond handsome man walking quickly up to her with open arms, she “becomes” his mail order bride.
Olivia hated deceiving Oran and his family. Mary immediately loved Olivia for her son, and the rest of the family found her perfect. No one suspected she was not Lillian, the lady he had written to.
Then, Lillian, arrives out of the blue…. Oran is shaken to the core. Will he follow his heart, or will he settle and do what he deems is his duty?

The O'Rourke family never disappoints!
If you're a fan of wholesome, sappy love stories set in the past with just enough drama to make it interesting...the O'Rourke Family Saga is a must read. You can start here or you can start from the first book, but wherever you begin, I know you'll want to read all the rest.
While every book has similarities throughout, rather than feeling repetitive, they feel cohesive and serve to reiterate the O'Rourke values and the ways of their family life that Ramona so beautifully demonstrates with her writing. If some part of you doesn't wish to be an O'Rourke by the end of the series, you'll at least wish to experience the sense of family they share. And without giving away any spoilers... Seamus and Mary have their first serious conflict since they reunited 10 years prior and it will have you on the edge of your seat praying for a resolution.
I enjoyed seeing a quieter, stalwart sibling get his moment to shine among such charismatic family members and l'm excited to see the remaining brothers find their eventual love matches too. (Fingers crossed that those stories are in the works soon!)

The O'Rourke Family's saga continues. This is Oran O'Rourke and Olivia Crawford's story, and the character development is outstanding. Oran has been living the high life running around with his friends and causing trouble with his younger siblings. He longs to marry and find the happiness his older brothers have found, and against his brothers' advice he sends for a MOB. While traveling to Fort Benton, due to an accident, Olivia becomes a desperate widow. When she arrives, Oran mistakes her for his MOB, and Olivia goes along with the deception thinking she will confess later. The O'Rourkes fall in love with her and Olivia feels like she has found a family. But...what will happen when Oran's real MOB shows up? How will Oren react when he finds out about Olivia's deception? Will Oren reject Olivia for his "real" MOB or will he marry Olivia and work toward a HEA? Be sure and read this outstanding story to find out; it is a fun story and a real page turner. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

The O’Rourke family lives in Fort Benton, Montana with most of them married. Oran and two of his brothers have always stuck together but now Oran is ready to get married so he sent for a mail order bride. There is so much to this story. Olivia met Oran under the wrong pretense but she tried to tell him she wasn’t who he thought she was, but he wouldn’t listen. She shows how sweet and loving she is when she tried to help those injured men, adopts a child that lost his parents, and was willing to help out where needed. This story has times where you wonder if they will find their happy life together. A great story.

This is an incredible book! I started reading it in the morning and finished it the same day. My husband had to beg me to cook since I couldn’t put the book down. This is such an intense and interesting story of the O’Rourke clan. Of course now I must go back and read all the ones that came before, and I can hardly wait. If you have not read a Ramona Flightner book yet, I encourage you to do so. You will not be sorry. She captured me with every chapter. Not a dull page in the book!

This is part of a series and it was hard keeping track of all the characters from prior stories. But this story is mainly about Oran and Olivia, and I liked it very much. And in fact I’d love to read the prior books. This is a great book that people who enjoy historical mail order bride stories will love. I received a copy of this book and all opinions are my own.

This fairly complicated story involving Oran O’Rourke & Olivia Crawford is full of twists and turns as their relationship develops. The interaction with his family is uplifting and also heartbreaking at different points in the story. I really enjoyed this episode in the O'Rourke family saga series.

I absolutely loved reading this really wonderful book! I really loved the characters and the plot! I had a hard time putting this really wonderful book down! I am really looking forward to reading the next book in this really wonderful series!

Good read
Pretty much the same as always with this family. Strife, love and forgiveness. You know how it's going to end but enjoy the story as it takes place. Would recommend this series to all that enjoy a true love story with all the stuff involved to get there,

Pioneer Valor ( The O'Rourke Family Montana Saga Book Ten)
Loved this book, an awesome addition to the The O'Rourke Family! This is Oran's and Olivia's story, one I've been waiting for. He's always been my favorite O'Rourke and wanted him to find someone who loved him with their entire heart. I loved their sweet, but never boring, story of finding the perfect someone. Recommend this book and the entire series. JudyE
