Soraya: The Other Princess

Rate this book
"This book is a heart touching recollection of what transpired in Afghanistan in the past seven decades, a country that most believe is crucial for the future of the “Western Civilization” . It depicts the joy, disappointment and sorrow of its population as well as the inefficiency and ignorance of the sovereigns and leaders who ruled this rugged land which experts have called “the graveyard of empires” . The volume at hand also throws light on the misdeeds of superpowers whose armies invaded either for conquest or as feigned allies, promising good governance and democracy as well as the emergence of modern terrorism which has plagued the world. Inspired from the life of an exceptional Afghan lady, Soraya Ludin who in the 1960s was the only woman of her country to study at and graduate from the University of London, it attempts to portray how women were and are perceived and treated by their still tribal societies. Through Soraya, this book endeavors to pay tribute to all Afghan female population for the prejudice they suffer from and their incomparable resilience. It strives to over fly unfairness of cultural barriers, the existence of discrimination in the country, ravages of war that left indelible scares in the hearts and minds of peoples as well as mischiefs of “international politics” with uncalculated consequences on the lives of all and future generations."

Just from the introduction itself it will already give you an idea of the sincerity and seriousness of Saber Azam's vision for women! Here Saber writes to inspire! He writes to remind the women in Afghanistan that they too are important, even if their culture doesn't allow it to be! Saber encourages women to realize their full potential, and so he wrote a book exemplified by Soraya Suri- one of the most exceptional women of Afghanistan!

Saber also writes as a teacher. He wrote so much about the many ways a woman can become great! Soraya's story is that of success simply because she was encouraged to be so, and the world around her supported who she was. This is a great way of inspiring women, and how they too can look forward to a life similar as that of Soraya's. He also taught us women from the story of Soraya about her curiosity, thirst for knowledge and her natural instinct to help and be kind. This too is a great way to teach us that we can be great by developing the same qualities that Soraya has.

Saber also taught about the history of Afghanistan and how it evolved to be the country that it is now. Whatever his purpose for that is, he provides the best information to be read and understood, not only for Afghan people, but also for us readers! He simply opened my eyes and made me more cultured, self-aware and inspired!

So, if you are a woman, a mother, a daughter, or even if you are someone not trying to be somebody, but would want to feel awed, inspired and fascinated by a story of greatness, culture and the arts, then this is one of the best books to read! Saber Azam did a great job at making sure that his message to Afghanistan people is heard. Similarly, he also did a great job, reaching out to his readers and making them realize that Afghanistan is also a great country, not fully comprehended by the rest of the world!

Bravo!

A very inspiring story, great writer and a moving manifesto! Saber Azam is touching the hearts of many and also making sure that women are respected, dignified and can have the equal rights in society as much as men. What more can you ask for?

In this book you will also learn about the history of Afghanistan. I have learned that they were actually colonized by the British Empire, way back World War 1 and World War 2. This story is new to me as an outsider. I never would have thought that they encountered the same predicament as other countries. I like too that Saber touched some parts about the neighboring countries, like Pakistan. It got me to understand them more, why they are behaving as such, and why it became a war-stricken country in the present times. This is a beautiful expression of knowledge, because in awareness there is no judgement, but only a deeper connection meant for its readers to develop compassion and wisdom. He did so well in educating me, and hopefully all of his readers!

This book is definitely a book of change! If we share its story to our daughters, our moms, and our female friends, it will inspire them to be great and it will also make them more self-aware. Moreover, we should also remember that the main reason Saber wrote this book is to impact change first in their country, and that should always be the first course of action and mind set. So, if you want to be moved, inspired and become more aware about the history of Afghanistan and possibly help make a change in the world and Afghanistan, read this book, I am sure you will love it!

This is the first time I have heard of the Pashtun Dynasty which was actually the dynasty that ruled Afghanistan. Do you know what that means? So, in this book it will teach you to research and become interested about the history of Afghanistan and the world!

Saber is a fascinating writer! He wrote a story about a young woman in the name of Soraya Suri, who lived one of the most influential lives in Afghanistan. Here you will learn how she lived her life. If you are a woman you will feel fascinated and become smitten by her life story. You will also feel influenced and inspired to become just like her. Saber chose the best character to voice out his cause, which is to help the women in Afghanistan to become great- and FEARLESS!

In addition Saber also wrote about the history of Afghanistan and the other things that made Afghanistan the country that it is now. In doing so, he is educating the people and helping them decide if change is something they would like to do.

He is a very intelligent writer because first he wrote about Soraya who lived a great life sans the cultural influence, yet also making sure that he shares some points about why the STIGMA about women still exists. With that said he then allows people to become more aware and helps them think about their own conditions and if it is worthy to make that change. He did a great job promoting his cause in this strategy!

So, if you want to make a change in your life, learn a lot about culture and also the women in Afghanistan, this is one of the best books to read. You will surely enjoy it!

Saber in this book "Soraya: The Other Princess", wrote about the respectable and educated woman of Afghanistan and he also wrote it as a memoir for the women who made his life significant. In addition, Saber wrote this story to make an impact on women and how they too can be great, in a country that is dominated by men. Saber wants the women in Afghanistan to understand that, in spite of the culture that they were brought up to be in, they can smash the stigma and choose to be who they want to be! Moreover, he wrote a history of their culture and the traditions in Afghanistan, to make sure that the people will have a deeper understanding of the cause of this stigma. In understanding comes awareness, and in that awareness is the wisdom to know how to take a stand.

This author Saber Azam holds the best vision from his book, and I am deeply moved by his writing! He is inspiring and making sure that the influence of change in women, starts NOW! I highly recommend this book for Afghanistan women, their nation and in their school system to be read first. Second, I also recommend this to be read by everyone, as a great educational book that will enrich our understanding about the culture of Afghanistan, the history of the war and how we too can become great women, in our own rights, and in our own country! Anything is possible, if we don't give up!

Thank you Saber for teaching me and inspiring me to become great!

What is "kafir"? It is a term for Muslims who turn down their religion. Saber shared this story because he wanted to share some facts and history about the impact of religion to people and their judgment about a certain topic. Isn't that enriching? Definitely! This and the many other traditions and religious belief is what you will learn from this book. I really like that Saber focuses on introducing cultural and traditional exposure. To me, this is the psychology of the nation. When one understands what shapes the mindset of people, one can remove the stigma easily, allowing a better mindset to flourish. Moreover, this information tells you about the intelligent way of how the book is written. Furthermore, if you read with awareness, you will get to understand that Saber's main intention is to impact change. And so, he chose a story of one of the most exceptional women of Afghanistan to spearhead this change. He wrote it so eloquently, in the hopes that women will develop the same qualities and mindset as that of Soraya's. He truly did an amazing job and for sure women in Afghanistan and the rest of the world will be encouraged to change and become great!

So, if you are ready to make a change in your life, become what you are meant to be, start reading this book! If not that, read this as an educational piece that will teach you a lot about the culture, tradition and historical background of Afghanistan and the rest of the world!

Enjoy and start feeling inspired!

A hopeful story for women who dreams big! Saber focuses to write a story mostly for the Afghan women, however this manifesto will also help women in all third world countries!

In this story, Saber reaches out to women! Saber wants all of us to feel empowered and become great at whatever cost it will take. He writes foremost for the women in Afghanistan because he hails from there. He has close associations with great women, coming from his mother and a great woman who raised him after his mother died. He speaks very kindly about women, quite eloquently and powerfully, ensuring that his book speaks about his intended vision. I admire that he was able to communicate his vision well and a lot of women will definitely be inspired to become great. Hats off!

Furthermore, his intelligence is also of great contribution to this book! His intelligence enabled him to represent a psychology of what made the Afghan nation what is now and how it will change if we remove that stigma that men are the only powerful people in their country. He wants the history, culture and religious background of Afghanistan to be communicated with openness and the impact that this had on women. By doing so, women will understand that this doesn't need to happen anymore in the present time, and that with our own choice and desire to be great, we can make that happen.

Indeed the most effective book that will inevitably change Afghanistan and the rest of the world! Thank you for enriching us!

This book written by Saber Azam is a book of cultural exposure, love of country and reverence for women! His main point was to encourage women to be great- no matter what the cost! However in this book he also touches a little bit about the Muslim artists, writers, and musicians. As an artist, I loved reading about this part because I believe that creativity is one of the many ways that will influence change in the society. Also, as an artist; a FEMALE ARTIST in fact, I believe that women are naturally inclined to be artistic and this statement is a great way to influence women to pursue greatness in the form of ARTS! And so, this particular line spoke its truth for me:

"Mr. Suri underlined that Robert Byron described the art of Herat as “a beautiful example of colorful architecture conceived by man for the glory of God.” Soraya was an extremely accomplished and fast reader; she had studied a lot about western culture and was surprised to learn from her father that Muslim kings, sultans, and emperors oftentimes venerated and rewarded the avant-garde".

Yep, this discretely tells you that pursuing greatness in the form of arts is also a great way to enrich yourself! And that is why, this story is amazing! In essence, Saber shares a lot of points worthy of consideration and he explores so many great things that will help women discover what it is that will truly make them the best VERSION OF THEMSELVES! Hats off!

A book reveling into the elixir of beauty and madness! It is also a book about love, creativity and power!

I love the dynamics of this book and one of the most fascinating points on how to be dynamic is found here. This excerpt is from the many books and discussions that Soraya Suri read and debated with his father.

"Khayyam and Hafiz were all about love, and Ferdowsi was depicting the tragedies of war. She often jumped from one book to another to feel the “war and peace” spirit of her country. But Mathnawi and Diwan challenged her mind. The philosophies of reaching the ultimate truth—bad and good, love and hate, superficiality and depth of thoughts, God the merciful and the furious, and so on – were profound. She needed hours of reading and sleepless evenings of debate with her father to comprehend the essence of a chapter".

As you can see this point mainly talks about how to be great coming from being well read. In doing so, Saber executes his point on empowering women about the many ways they can be multi-dimensional yet skilled. Soraya was the best example, because she lived with the perfect balance. And so, Saber continues to fascinate us with her story, making sure that other points such as creativity is also infused in this story.

Saber is a great writer! He writes with creativity, inspiration and the best style of influence. I became cultured, intrigued and more knowledgeable after reading this book!

We live in a world in which we sift life experiences of our own and others through an internal grid. Does it shake out right in our minds? Can we relate to any of this? Or do we see the world through tunnels vision? Our experiential backgrounds, existing in the light of positivity or in the deepest caves of darkness, form the prism for which we view life. We form our values and codes of conduct normally through trial and error. We receive feedback and reinforcement, ideally, through our family unit. Soraya's self-expressed story is a reality for more individuals in some way, shape or form that we can even begin to imagine.

It is my sincere hope that Soraya's words, truth-bound or not, will reach into that darkness that exists in others right now in order for them to find their own voice. Breaking free seems like the weight of granite tied to one's ankles. Difficult, but not impossible "if only" someone, somewhere were more vigilant to the plight of our neighbors. We, as a society, are so observant and wise after the fact, seeing eyes that blur into blindness.

Everything about this book amazed me. I will not stop thinking about this book for a very, very long time. I don't think I can even do this proper justice in a review other than telling everyone to go out and READ THIS BOOK!

"Victory is always possible for the person who never stops fighting"! One of the best lessons I learned from this story, "Soraya: The Other Princess", written by Saber Azam.

Saber is a highly intellectual and creative writer! Here he openly communicates what he envisions for this book to become! He visualizes for all of mankind, including first and foremost the people in Afghanistan to understand how the women have helped offer a lot of greatness to the country. It helps them understand that in order for the women to also have a place in society, they need to be recognized, encouraged and become independent of men, and yet be an equal partner to men. He wants everyone to understand that women have a place in society, and that they too have the power to change the world.

Moreover, I find Saber a creative genius, because he is able to create a picture of inspiration, empowerment and the beauty of the countries he has shared in the story with so much vividness and awe. Anyone reading his book will feel very much connected to it and will be influenced to visit Europe, Afghanistan, Rome and India.

He is a man who has it ALL! A man who knows how to write with great structure and creativity.

Thank you for writing marvelous contents! All readers are hungry of creative contents and yours seems to be the best at! Thanks Saber!

"Victory is always possible for the person who never stops fighting"! One of the best lessons learned from this story and so much more!

In this story you will learn about the culture of Afghanistan! You then will also learn about their tradition and their religion. If that doesn't seem enough, Saber Azam takes you into a journey of the history of the world, teaching us so much about what happened in the first and the second world wars. Furthermore, Saber is also a creative writer and a lover of the arts! He shared how these shaped Europe and how this greatly influenced society and their ability to become highly evolved and powerful. Lastly, this book doesn't shy away in encouraging women to be AWESOME! He writes openly about the many ways a woman can become successful- just like Soraya! If you are paying attention, and if you are a woman, you will learn that what makes a woman a highly respectable asset in the country and in the community is when she becomes herself and when she becomes enthused, highly cultured and skilled! A great woman is multi-faceted and balanced! And that is what Saber wants to discuss and share to all of us. Thank you!

This book is highly enjoyable, educational and enriching! I am recommending for everyone, most especially for women to come and read this book. This will teach you so many ways to become great and multi-faceted! Enjoy!

How to become a strong woman?

It is encouraged when you are young and taught by your parents and the people who mentor you. This was some of the points communicated from the book: "Soraya: The Other Princess", written by Saber Azam. If you want to know more, check out the book and see how your uniqueness can be celebrated- wherever you may be! =)

Saber also talks about the history of Afghanistan! With this strategy, he is making the people- most especially women to become aware of why the "STIGMA" of prohibiting greatness in women exists. He then shares unique points in marriage, traditional and religious beliefs that continues to prohibit it. With that said, he then makes sure that his cause becomes more intense from the examples he draws out from his story. The more intense the story becomes, the more women are challenged to rise above it and to never be afraid to stand up for themselves! Saber is indeed a clever and inspirational writer to have done this on his book! And so, if you are ready to feel inspired and be moved by this change in you, then you have got to start reading this book!

Moreover, I highly recommend this book for everyone! I do not believe that a book of empowerment is only meant for women but it should also be a book for MEN! In doing so, they will learn how to encourage greatness for woman of their lives!

The book is an epitome of the many ways on how to be smart in the most unconventional way! As per Saber, his main purpose of writing this book is to promote change in women- most especially the women in Afghanistan; and so he created a story and an inspiring content that is meant to help women become multifaceted and successful.

He then shares this story in many ways; they can be smart by reading books, engaging in discussions with smart and intelligent people and surrounding themselves with people who can help enrich their lives. Soraya did just that, and Saber wanted to influence the same level of intellect, class and greatness that she exuded. In addition, because Saber knows that it is not only through influence that people can change, but it is also in educating people, he then creates a story that is vital to make people understand the culture of Afghanistan. In this way, the culture that shaped their mindset will help women understand the stigma and develop their own mindset so that they too can choose to celebrate their greatness in their own right.

Such an amazing and inspiring story written by Saber Azam! I hope that he continues this cause as it is a universal issue that women face every day, and remaining steadfast at their calling is important for the quality of their life. Cheers!

The essence of this book is so powerful! It teaches women to be powerful, fearless and put a mark in society by their own voice. That is just three points of his vision and a whole lot more!

Saber in addition is imparting a memoir and a legacy from the women who have raised him and helped him become the man that he is now. He wants the people in Afghanistan to help see women as a great contributor to the country's evolution, and that they too can stand on their own and become great! Moreover, Saber taught me a lot about the history of Afghanistan. Here he shares how they were colonized a 100 years ago (the years calculated are in consideration of the story's timetable, not considering the present date) and how they stood strong in the midst of war. He has also shared why Afghanistan seems to continue being a war-stricken country and why they become ally's to other countries in order to fight invaders and continue to fight even up to this time.

The story is inspiring, educational and enjoyable to read! A book definitely worth your time! Reading Saber's story and his memoir for the people he loved will move you and will make you understand Afghanistan, the wars of the world and the many ways a woman is powerful- in her own right. Come check it out!

A great book is always that book which will make you feel inspired!

In this story Saber developed a memoir and an inspirational content meant to inspire and empower women! He wants women, most especially the women in Afghanistan to become great and realize their greatness! And that is why he chose to write a story about Soraya and how she developed herself to become the woman that she wanted to be. Saber writes along these lines of greatness and the many reasons why Soraya became that WOMAN. And so, as you pay attention, it will give you ideas and insights on how to develop and understand yourself!

To me, this is a great book, and I highly recommend it for women! The women in Afghanistan and the women of the entire world will become more educated, multi-faceted and will be inspired to pursue greatness! If women are provided the means to become great and are also surrounded by books that are educational and enriching, then they too can become as affluent, educated and multi-faceted as Soraya. So, I am recommending this book- in the hopes that it does justice for the many women seeking to be great and to put a mark in the world!

Thank you Saber for inspiring women to be amazing! Hats off!

It is disheartening yet also eye opening for all of us to understand the suffering and sacrifices the women in Afghanistan faced. To me, this is the story of true liberation and that is a clever way of writing done by Saber so that the women in Afghanistan will be more aware and pursue the movement of change!

Saber is definitely one of the best writers with the best vision! I like this book simply because it inspires change! I like it too because he made sure that apart from the story of inspiration, he wrote to educate. Saber wrote a lot about historical influences and what made Afghanistan the country that it is now. He also wrote about the culture and the political system. And lastly, he wrote mostly about how women can become great. He is indeed a brilliant writer because he inspired us readers to become insightful, aware and cultured! I truly enjoyed this book!

If you are someone who likes books that are meant to inspire, teach and also provide you some history about the war of the worlds during the World War I and II, then this is a great book for you! I truly appreciated the work done by Saber, because it enriched me, and it made me understand so much about the history of Afghanistan and the world! Truly a fascinating and enjoyable read! Cheers!

This is one of the best books ever written! It got me to learn so many things and I am deeply grateful for Saber. The many things I learned starts with a lot of cultural exposure. Here Saber wrote about the history of the war of the worlds. He also wrote about Afghanistan and its culture. What I like about that is that it taught me about their behavior and what motivates it. Afghanistan is a war torn country and it's fascinating to know why they have become so.

In addition, Saber also enriched us with a lot of cultural exposure about other countries and the many attributes that make them unique and great. Funny because the core vision of this book is actually to help women in Afghanistan to become empowered. Moreover, Saber, made sure to include other topics that would make them realize the reason which prevents them from becoming great. Not surprisingly, it starts with how their culture was built. This awareness and educational information is definitely helpful in promoting that change! He did a great job!

So, if you are going to read this book, be ready to become a brand new person. You will become cultured, rich in knowledge and inspired to become a great woman yourself! Be that change now!

Soraya had the most interesting and fascinating life, but it never robbed her Spirit! She continued to dream big for herself and yet continued to help and become kind to people.

Soraya was the epitome of a great woman, and Saber made sure to choose her story to impact the change he wanted for the women in Afghanistan to become. He chose the right story and the right way of expressing his vision. Such a clever writer!

Moreover, Saber also made sure to include writing about the history of Afghanistan! In doing so, he made the readers understand what made Afghanistan what it is now. This information will also help everyone understand why they develop a stigma that women are beneath men. With that understanding begins the wisdom on how to change it. And to me, that is the best way to induce change. He also did a great job on that premise.

Lastly, aside from the inspiring and the educational content, this book is also a great story of a powerful woman. It is an enjoyable and fascinating read because of that. If your only reason for reading books is for the pleasure of enjoyment, this is also one of the best books to spend some time on. It will not disappoint! Start reading now!

This book written by Saber Azam has one of the best dynamics! First it teaches you about how to become great- if you are a woman; second, it teaches about the culture and tradition of Afghanistan, and lastly it teaches you about the political issues and the spirit about it. This is the point that I loved so much in this story:

"Soraya deemed that capturing hearts and minds yielded better results than snatching territories. While her father concurred from a human perspective, he advised his daughter that politics was never compassionate and that only minds governed the success or failure of policies".

To me, this is a great point that will support the cause of greatness and the solidarity of people in the NATION of Afghanistan and the rest of the world! If you pay attention, this conversation, will also make you realize how important it is to put the matters of the heart in politics. And so, the greatness that Saber talks about in women then becomes depicted in this statement. He discretely imparts that within a woman lies the greatness of compassion, and instead of POWER, compassion can help yield a more peaceful resolve.

Definitely a great story, with the best dynamics! Go and check it out!

Saber Azam is an incredible writer with a deep sense of purpose to empower women so that they too can become great! In this book he also shared the beauty of Afghanistan, the arts and culture of some of the countries he mentioned in this book, and then he also added in some geo political information that will help people realize the intensity of the issue around women and why they choose to be substandard.

Saber is definitely a wise and clever writer! He wrote well and chose the best person to write about in order to influence empowerment of women. Moreover, Saber did not stop there. Saber realizes that it is also helpful to key in the dynamics of culture and politics to help intensify his cause. Lastly, Saber recognizes that it shouldn't be the case and just allow the government and the cultural influence to continue, and so he wrote this book with the right psychoanalysis! He infused the right psychoanalysis of the influence of culture, politics and tradition. This is the smartest dynamics he infused to make sure that change happens!

This book is smart, interesting and very fascinating! Anyone reading it will fall in love with Soraya's story and will be influenced to become just like her (well that’s if you are a woman). ;-)

How enriching is a book that will teach you about the culture, the women and the history of Afghanistan? I'm sure you must be stoked to learn more. In this book you will also learn a lot about Pakistan and the many ways it became a negative force for Afghans. I like that I am learning a lot, and I like that I am learning all of this great lessons in one book!

Saber is a great writer because he knows how to infuse all the right dynamics to elicit change! He first tells us a story about Soraya Suri. Soraya's powerful story comes from her great personality. Her intelligence is then influenced by her dad who is a lawyer and an ambassador of Afghanistan. Moreover, Saber then adds in the dynamics the history and culture of Afghanistan, to help the readers realize that what shaped the stigma in women becoming the weaker sex is because of the tradition and culture they have built around them. So, in making the people aware of this dimension it will elicit change and will help the women of Afghanistan to become great and free!

This is indeed a powerful book and will help eradicate so many issues that Afghanistan is facing.

Thank you Saber for ensuring that the lives of the people in Afghanistan can help become better if not now, maybe in the future!

A great memoir and a powerful piece meant to help change the lives of the women in Afghanistan!

I am fascinated and deeply immersed by the book's interesting story and the writer's creative writing style! Saber is a great teacher of the arts and culture of Afghanistan, the whole of Middle East and Europe. His magnificent writing style showcases the many ways you can see beauty in each country. He also is able to share vividly the experience of Soraya and what made her the woman that she is. It is good to know about these stories of passion and enthusiasm as his vision is meant to help induce change and help women live a better quality of life.

Saber's inspirational style of writing ensures that we as readers understand the depth of what he wants to talk about. The depth of the story comes actually from the socio economic and political conditions of Afghanistan. This shaped the stigma around women too, and once we as readers understand that, we can help create and enable that change too. Afghan or not, we are part of that change that promotes greatness, belief in oneself and the capacity to be great even when the going gets tough!

This is indeed a powerful story and I hope that Saber influences as many people as he can to build a better life for themselves! Cheers!

The book is a great memoir for the empowered women in the life of the author. With that said you will expect that the book encourages women to become the best version of themselves. This is also a great story about the culture and geopolitical system of Afghanistan. It will leave you feeling enriched, educated and in awe with how the world and Afghanistan was before the new millennium.

As an outsider looking in, this book had me understand why Afghanistan is a country that is strong yet attracting wars and oppression. As I get deep into that knowledge it got me to feel sympathy for the people, most especially women, who continues to try and become great and offer something for their nation and help make it become a safer and richer place to live by all!

I am grateful and enthused by Saber Azam's writing, as it got me educated, cultured and developed a deeper respect for the country Afghanistan! People from the outside only know Afghanistan to be a war stricken country, not knowing that Afghans tried their best to protect, stand strong and evolve in spite of the war and oppression.

Such a great representation of Afghanistan, its nation and the women! Hats off!

How to become your own woman? A woman that is fearless yet grounded; a woman that is fierce, yet kind, and a woman that is intelligent yet intuitive! This and the many other ways on how to be exceptional is the story about Soraya written by Saber Azam!

Saber is a great writer! He speaks from his soul and writes with the best intentions! Saber writes for the women in Afghanistan and how he wants to promote change within them. Saber understand that in spite of its cultural stigma- that women are beneath men, and what they are only worthy of becoming, is to be a man's wife and "helper"- he still believes that he can change that, by educating them and making sure that they are aware of the intensity of this influence in women and men.

Saber did a great job, because he wrote with truth, creativity and inspiring content. He chose to bring in a character that depicted a unique balance of FEMININITY AND MASCULINITY! He wants therefore to induce that change, without forgetting that women, even if they choose to be their own person, still remains completely balanced, feminine and centered!

This is truly a wonderful story, written by one of the best writers! A must read!

A book that teaches a lot about life lessons, most especially on how to be humble in spite of the success and respect that the people has for you. This and a whole lot more is what I learned from the book written by Saber Azam!

In this book, I also like that Saber taught me about the tradition and culture of Afghanistan. This helped me understand better the people there, and why their tradition doesn't promote valuing the independence of women. This made me more aware, also finding in the wisdom within myself and how to apply it in my life.

As a woman, I actually feel obligated to step back and support my man. Sometimes this has an impact on my well-being, because I feel that I should also be given a chance for greatness and that my skills are also valuable. However, due to the complexities of human relationships, I let that pass, and continue submitting to my man.

I think Saber, did a wonderful job at depicting and trying to help change this issue on his book! I believe that it’s not only the women in Afghanistan who will be influenced by this change, but women all over the world! It is always good to find yourself and celebrate you!

It is a book on how to be smart, courageous and fascinating! I like this book so much because it inspires women to be great and to make that change solely for themselves. Moreover, I think that this book is primarily helpful for women who encounter obstacles in pursuing greatness because their culture prevents them from doing so. Interestingly, the nature of his cause is primarily centered in the women of Afghanistan, because Saber believes that they are the people who can most benefit from his cause. Saber also hails from Afghanistan and it is a memoir and a legacy for him to contribute a book that has also helped him become the man that he is now, because of a great woman who raised him.

I believe that his cause and vision will prosper! Based on how creative and intelligent he depicts the story of Soraya, there is no doubt that his vision will become a reality.

I wish that it will not only be the women of Afghanistan who can benefit from his book! I am hoping that all women, young and old will be able to reach their fullest potential. It is indeed high time for women to discover that within themselves!

It's poignant, interestingly written and also very creative! What an amazing writer and a great story teller!

I find this book to be the most enriching and fascinating! I'm in love with the fact that I am becoming cultured and knowledgeable from reading all about the history of Afghanistan and the rest of the world. I am also becoming well aware of the background of the World War 1 and the World War 2 from the British Empire. This is important for me, because I believe that this is the time when life changed for everyone and that becoming empowered as a nation is something relevant to how we live our lives today.

More so, I deeply admire the ways of influence that Saber teaches the Afghan women. He made sure that the structure of influence comes from one of the most influential people of Afghanistan, which was Soraya Suri, and then he developed a twist of plot making sure to key in the dynamics of culture and tradition.

The cultural exposure was helpful in awareness because this helps the people and the women of Afghanistan remove themselves from the stigma.

Saber did a fantastic job in helping women of Afghanistan live better lives! Cheers!

A book of empowerment, cultural exposure and celebrating greatness in your own unique way! I love this book written by Saber Azam!

Saber is an exceptional writer and one of the best people to write about Afghanistan and the women of Afghanistan. As an outsider, I developed a fascination for the culture and religion of the Afghan people. I actually admire their spirit too because they chose to be loyal to their tradition, no matter what the cost. Sometimes, being loyal is a good thing, because it makes people feel secure. Moreover, Saber seeks to change that. Saber actually wants to empower change- most especially for women! He believes that, if women are strong and will stand by their ground and permit themselves to be great, they can contribute to the betterment of the nation. Saber's movement is a great cause and will surely help influence a lot of women!

I admire Saber's vision and I hope that it impacts the many lives of women in Afghanistan. He did well in choosing the best content and writing in the most creative and educational way. Definitely one of the best books written!

A story of the evolution of Afghanistan! A story of greatness inspired by Soraya Suri, and a story of change that will help the women of Afghanistan strive for equality.

This and a whole lot more is what Saber wants to impart to the women of Afghanistan and the rest of the world.

Saber is a great writer! He writes from inspiration. His inspiration comes from his mother and the woman who raised him right after that fateful day that her mother died. Saber believes that women are naturally great, however, the culture in Afghanistan numbs that, and so, he wrote this book to awaken the women of Afghanistan to pursue their greatness!

Saber wrote a great book, meant to deliver an exceptional response from women. This will not only impact the women of Afghanistan, but to the women who are actually also experiencing the same disempowerment - wherever they are in the world.

If you want to feel empowered, educated about the richness of culture and history of Afghanistan, check out this book, written by Saber Azam. It is surely a book that will help change your life!

A remarkable story and beautiful writing.

No doubt one of the stronger elements of this novel comes from an assortment of remarkable characters, but I thought Towles was particularly adept at creating a cast of female characters that are complex, multidimensional and fascinating in their own right.

AZAM also demonstrates for the reader that a good story is not just to be told, it is written, and written with style and erudition. This was one of the best crafted books I’ve read, filled with nuances, word play and personality.

I usually don't dwell much on how a novel ends, but c'mon, what a surprising and satisfying conclusion that was.

There's much wit, political insight and humor contained in this novel but I believe it is the genuineness of its good-hearted protagonist that makes it such a sublime read. Soraya: The other princess is ultimately a tale of triumph.

Highly recommended.
