The second book of the series actually predates the first book. The author goes back in time to the beginning of the zombie outbreak. Danny a drifter living by any means he can is immune to the virus that turns people into flesh eating zombies. Jack a computer geek is contacted by one of her old school mates with information regarding the virus. The unlikely pair must find a way to get the virus and potential antidote before it's too late Good pacing in the story keeps your attention along with well written characters. This is a good zompoc story.
What came before the zombie apocalypse that wiped out so much of humanity? What part did Jenna’s father play in the disaster?
Not only do we get in on the story from the beginning, but we find out much more about a few very interesting characters! Definitely adds to the series.
A great zombie story. The characters were fun and some had layers that revealed themselves later in the book. I enjoyed following the progression of the outbreak to the exciting race to contain and fight the zombies. Highly recommended.
I loved the first book in this series and this one didn't disappoint! It was fast paced and action packed, plus I liked the twist with the Dr at the end! Slightly confusing, this book actually comes before the first one, but I liked having the background knowledge that we got in the first one before reading this. It doesn't feature the same characters, which I was a bit disappointed about, since I thought Jenna was great in the first book, but Jack and Danny made brilliant alternatives and I'd love to hear more from them.
All in all, a very exciting book and I look forward to the rest of the series!
