very good

I read this series in 2 days. I cried and laughed and it was just… a lot. This is my first time reading her work. I just can’t say if I will read more of her work or not. It was really good.. I’m honestly not sure about the emotional roller coaster it took me on. It put me in my feelings but I cannot NOT give her 5 stars. Well written, good cliff hangers and all. It’s a really good read. I guess I needed a trigger warning note but heck it was so good I had to finish

This series had me flabbergasted since book 1. There’s topics/situation-ships throughout this entire series that made me uncomfortable. (Sex scenes between a 16 & 20 year old, domestic violence, rape, parental abuse, etc) BUT here I am days later & ate this series up lmaooo

This Series is an Absolute Must Read!!

Dymond Taylor this finale was everything you left no stone unturned or question unanswered. I was truly happy to see Carmee flourish in her new life after her traumatic beginning with Stella she definitely did not change her spirit was beautiful and she was a strong young woman who took charge and adapted to her new found environment. Ox ended up being everything she needed and more especially after he faced the demons of his past and got his head on straight to be the man his family needed. He definitely showed a lot of growth and I was glad he finally came around to giving Cutti and Lana the chance they deserved. Poor Flex I definitely hated what happened to him, Keeley and her son Seraya was a loose cannon and she deserved the karma that she received. Rasta and Kathena belonged together and I am glad they got it right and got their happy ending because they were both miserable without each other. And last but not least that damn Stella did the best thing she could ever do while in jail after what she has put Carmee through.

It you are looking a great read you will not be disappointed by downloading this series it is definitely worth it!! Congratulations Dymond Taylor now I am waiting on your next book to drop!!

A great series

This book was recommended and I was not disappointed. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say for the most part I liked how everything turned out. There was one situation that made me sad but it was bound to happen. Overall this was a great series and I would recommend it.

Book 3 was quite the journey. A little longer than I anticipated but nonetheless it ended strong. It still shocks me how this story came together and it definitely had my antennas upward trying to see how it ended.

I finished the trilogy. It was difficult. Farmer's portrayal as being completely clueless about everything was not realistic to me. A guardian that is/was her social worker letting her 16 years old, mentally deficient child marry a twenty years old, violent, social menace street thug is not realistic to me.

Flex, man. Seraya..they tried to warn him. Neither Keely or Debonair deserved what happened to them.

Rasta, I like he and Kathena. One of the very few bright spots.

That's it. Happy to be done.

Growth

There was finally growth between ox and Carmee, that was nice. I still feel like they were still too dependent on each other and not in a healthy way but it was still a nice story. The growth is what I enjoyed because in the first 2 books I was not team ox. I also would’ve liked to see the issues between ox, cutti, and Lana’s sons addressed. Cutti may not have realized it, but he hurt Lana’s sons and they rebelled and it spilled over to ox and with ox always be able to do whatever he wanted made things worse. I am glad Cutti finally got in ox’s butt and stopped letting him do whatever he wanted. I enjoyed Rasta and kathena’s story the most. Flex’s story wasn’t that happy ending but I understand the message of what happens when you play games and aren’t honest even if you have the best of intentions. Not being honest cost flex everything. Seraya was that true definition of hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, however I’m glad flex had his child to hold on too. I would love another story with flex getting another shot at love.

Sensational

This series was one of the best I’ve read this year! She did her thing with this series! The love, patience, and care he had for her! The confidence and praise he breathed into everything she did! How he refused to never let her give up no matter what. How she always tried to be there for him no matter what it was rather he wanted it or not! They rode hard for and protected each other rather the other knew it or not! It was Stella’s audacity throughout the whole thing for me! That plot twist was crazy! I’m so hurt right now! I’m adding her to my list! I’m so sad that it’s over! Sensational job!

This storyline just kept going... Bringing all the drama then throwing a twist in there... My heart dropped at a point... So it definitely kept me reading... There was a character that they would being up here and there but then she kind of just fell off after a fight... Also the timeline in here is off so many times... So it kind of threw me a few times or had me trying to figure things out a little bit...
Carmee went through it... I know she didn't know a lot because she was never taught... I just hate how that allowed Ox to kind of run all over her... I didn't like how he would handle her and talk to her... Then she would be all sad and desperate... I know that she never truly had love so she was trying to hold on to anything that she could... But sometimes it was frustrating to read... She now has her son... And she is an amazing mother... This is a love that she does not have to question... So hopefully this will help her to grow...
I know Ox was a work in progress... He did come a long way from how he was... There was just times that I wanted to shake him a little bit to get him to see things and open up a little more... But even with all that toughness he had going in... I seen that he did have a big heart in there somewhere...
Rasta kept struggling with how to walk away when his heart kept pulling him back to Kathena... He was very smart and did not let being in the streets be all that he was about... But when he found out about the information that Kathena was keeping that could jeopardize the whole KDS squad... He had to shut it down right... But no matter what he did to try and walk away... The heart wants what the heart wants... And if it is meant to be then destiny will step in and make it happen when you least expect it... I really just wanted to see him happy... I would like to see how he handled things with Shanta... Because she was in deep with him...
Then we have Flex... He was dealing with Serya and Keeley... Yet his heart was no longer in the relationship he had for years with Serya... But he was stringing her along so that she would not kill his child... But it only made thing so much more worse then it should have gone... And because he was playing a Dangerous game and there are jealous women out here hating in the next woman... This happened... He should have just walked away completely or just waited until he completely cut things off before bringing Keeley into his mess... This is something that he will have to live with forever...
I was glad to see these men mature and see what family life is about... Because it looks like it took family to finally help them grow up and cherish life for what its worth and stop living so carelessly...

AMAZING

Now that’s how you do a series!!!!! First It was so refreshing to finally see a book take place somewhere not so typical especially my state! It felt 10x more relatable just by that alone. You really did such an amazing job with this. It was great to see each character develop and grow. I shed some tears myself especially watching Carmee get the life she deserved ten fold. Stella definitely cheated her. She really didn’t wanna do that time but I should’ve expected that. I too, had hope for her. Rasta And Kathena finally got their happy ending. I wouldn’t mind a spin off with the two of them. Especially him finding his parents or any family. Flex… I guess everyone truly can’t have a happy ending. I appreciated that though because people don’t always consider ALL the what if’s while in such a toxic situation. He expected her to hurt him and in a way she definitely did but innocent lives were lost also. Which is why although Seraya had her ways… you genuinely have to be careful playing with anyones heart cause you truly never know. Wish Paco and Pioneer would’ve grown more but they weren’t the main characters anyways. I loved this series so much. My first read from the author and I’m definitely a forever reader!

After reading this entire series (I haven't read the novella yet but I may.. or may not) I give this series a 3/5 stars overall.

The first book was the best, in my opinion, followed by the second. This one (the third) was the weakest of the series.

Firstly, Ox was a very unlikable character. Besides him being an adult & falling instantly in love with Carmee (who is only 16 plus very childlike and naive) I despised the way he spoke to Carmee. He spoke to her like she was nothing and continuously threatened her if she ever left him. Please remember, Carmee has never interacted with ANYONE besides her mother; never attended school or even stepped outside of her apartment before the events of the first book.

Now, my FAV character was Flex; although he had his moments when I side-eyed him. I did appreciate his ending because I was definitely rooting for him.

Overall, I just might read the novella to see how everything officially ties up but this book was ending enough for me for now.

must read series 🔥🔥🔥

Man I wasn’t ready for Seraya crazy ass she wasn’t shit and she really didn’t love Flex he should of just left her and not cared if she aborted the baby. Keeley didn’t deserve to die like that and I’m mad Savannah and peaches didn’t get theres for showing Seraya where they lived like flex where ur gun at Seraya should of been killed for real. I’m glad everyone else got the ending they wanted but flex need his own book to find his wife because damn man he didn’t deserve that at all . All he wanted was peace and love time and Keeley was that for him and Seraya took it from him. I know she the baby named after her lmfao. And Ox omg what a great change he made the way he love Carmee is unmatched and I love it I’m glad shanta took her L and did cause Rasta no problem one crazy was enough lol. Savannah heating ass got what she deserved try to come for Carmee like that. Omg l just love Ox the most the part three no cheating even when thrown at him.🔥🔥🔥🔥

On the set!!!

This wrap up!!!!! Man this final was everything and more. I cried and laughed throughout this book.

Stella took the weak way out. Raya, got off light if you ask me.
Somebody should’ve done something to Peaches them too

I LOVED Ox’s growth. He let that hurt go and was able to embrace
people outside of CeeCee.

I was still saying “aww bless her heart” at some of the things CeeCee said or did. That Christmas scene I was too tickled. I was also excited about her finding her sister
All and all this was a great read, from beginning to the ending, I loved every part of this book… of this series period

Awesome Read

Carmee embraced motherhood very well although she wasn't raised well. Thanks to Lana, Cutti, and Ox she learned to love and give it genuinely. Rasta found love in Kathena and couldn't let her go like her wanted to. They deserved the happiness they found in one another. Flex should have gotten rid of Seraya when he first found happiness with Keeylie. He allowed her to destroy everything he loved except the baby she was carrying. I believe Keeylie was Carmee and Kathena's other sister. All of the couples were extremely happy until Seraya destroyed it! Awesome finale to the series although it was sad!

Must Read!!!

What a beautiful series! There was so much growth by the end of the series. Carmee had such a sweet and innocent spirit about her. I loved how Cutti and Lana stepped up and took her in. Ox held on to so much hurt and pain, but the one thing you could deny was his love for his wife. Even though, I’m happy Rasta got it together and worked things out with Kathleen. I didn’t like the way he handled ole girl. I’m glad she didn’t do something stupid. Flex, whew that was a lot. I’m glad he pulled through and is taking care of his daughter. Great ending to a beautiful series.

Exceptional Writer!

This series was not what I was expecting! I was actually well written and had some great plot twist! Not to mention Dymond is funny as h*ll!! I couldn’t stop laughing, especially at Stella even though she was the one character that would easily make anybody jump out of character with how grimey she was! I loved that Carmee was able to make something major out of literally nothing but bs and have an amazing character & attitude throughout the entire series!!! Loved Lana and Cutti the most as it takes a lot to genuinely remind the world that there are still good people out here, flaws and all!

Survival and Strength

The pain and the joy that comes after all the healing starts!!!…That’s what this series taught me!!!…There was so much laughter as this crew grew with their losses and from the ppl that tried to break them!!!…
There was definitely strength in numbers!!!…
Everybody is NOT your friend, especially when y’all are all messy and Seraya is living that right now!!!…
I was glad Flex survived, but I know the pain of living with the loss of Keeley and Debonair is hard!!!…
I love how Carmee matured, but still kept the sweetness about herself!!!…
I loved this series so much!!!…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was a awesome read!!!!

Dymond. You truly outdid yourself with this story. This was so amazing!!! Ox was something else that I can't even describe. Carmee got all that she deserved which was love and happiness... I hate what happened to Flex, he should have closed that chapter in his life before going after Keely. Maybe we can get a spinoff for him🤔 js! Lol
And Raasta and Kathena and their family is so cute. I wouldn't mind a little spinoff for them as well. Putting it out in the universe 😘 this was one of my favorite stories.

Latavia Thoughts

That ending though Whew Chile I hope Carmee and Kathleen actually get a chance to meet their sister, Stella knew her faith and she wrong het daughter's but Carmee got it the worse, Ox and Cutti relationship's improved I was so happy, Whew Seraya was wrong on so many levels and her friends who gassed her up should be held accountable for her actions too, Poor Keeley and her babies didn't stand a chance and Flex lived through all and raising their daughter, Rasta a married man with all them daughter's these men all changed for the best!!

Love and Loyalty

This was a great ending to this series. It was fast Pac d and had no errors. The love and loyalty these characters had for each other made a remarkable story that everyone should read. It would be great if keele was the other sister. I'm glad ox put his demons to rest and enjoying his family. I enjoyed reading about carmees development progress. I sure hope you find time to write about the rest of the gang pioneer had issues and paco needs a women to knock him out. Great job Dymond Taylor. I hope you decide to unbreak flex heart. Pleasssseeeee.

I’m speechless

I read some of the reviews and didn’t like them for one this is not true stories so why take it that serious and because Carmee was slow didn’t mean a thing. I loved every single word of all three books and would recommend it to everyone. I especially loved how ox and carmee loved each other. Stella took the coward way out but she got her karma. I loved all of kds but seraya. She could’ve let that go but oh well. Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading so much more from you. This was an excellent series

Loved it 😍

I'm soooo happy for Carmee, she deserves everything that's coming to her. I also felt her when she said she wanted to expand her family because now would be a great time to. Ox is the prime example of change because he really did a whole 360, he's still real aggressive, but nonetheless I'm so proud of him. Flex lawd I wish he would of listened to his friends and left Raya alone because she was content with her life and he wanted change and she couldn't give it to him. I see now that he's also changed for his princess and for the better. Great read 📚.

Run it back!!

As usual I throughly enjoyed reading this series. I’m happy that Carmee and Ox grew together. She bossed up and after he dealt with his issues he became the man she needed.
My baby Flex😢😢…I hate that he had to experience a loss so great, but I feel in my spirit that he’s going to make a major comeback.
So so happy Rasta and Sexy mama got it together. Ready for Flex’s spin off.

Really good series!

I really enjoyed this series. I saw so much growth in these characters, especially Carmee and Ox. There was a lot of emotional moments. I was devastated with the Flex situation…I wished it went another way. Stella got the easy way out, I was mad for that but oh well. All in all I really enjoyed this series. Had a lot of laughs here and there, but also there were tears as well. Great job! Good read!

Amazing End

This book was an emotional roller-coaster. I laughed and cried. I'm shocked Carmee and Ox didn't have more kids. Thanks for birth control because he stayed poking. Carmen maturity and bossing up was a great ending. I felt bad for Flex. When he finally decided to be happy and leave Saraya shiesty a$$ Helotes his happily ever after. This was an amazing series. Definitely a page turner.

Just Amazing

Your characters Key much stayed the same thru from the beginning. Ox never bite his tongue, it he thought it you heard it... Point blank period. Didn't Dad about nobody feelings... Until Carmee! Love flowed thru this story line from beginning to end. I have laughed and even cried. Mental illness is real, drug addiction is a sickness. Some know from experience some from the sidelines. Please keep pushing. I love everything you touch! ❤❤❤
