[I accidentally got engaged to the evil owl-goddess who is obsessed with the number-three and now I have to make weapons for our new adventuring guild] [Volume 2]
After his chaotic introductions to the strange owl-god, Obscura, to the misguided and confused Rhine the river-wizard, and to the suspicious elf, Sockel, Hineni continues on with his days of weapon-smithing in the name of the deity he serves and lives together with.
However, these days are not mostly peaceful. Dangers roll in as the frog cult, dissatisfied with his servitude towards the owl-god, makes their unrejectable presence in his life ever more clear, disrupting their business with many schemes and attacks, while along the edges of his vision darts the shadow of the horrific entity, the fowl beast known only as the ‘Big-Frog’, who finally makes her move.
Under the crushing threats from the pond waters, Hineni and his people work to continue to establish themselves as a presence in the city, which is ruled by other, far more prominent gods who seem to be watching them very carefully from a distance for reasons he doesn’t understand yet.
Together with many new faces, the hunt for a secure nest, for the growth of Obscura’s power, and for the Big-Frog continues.
Will they manage to work together to move towards their goals? Or will they be consumed by the croaking shadow looming over their heads?

[litRPG] [Soft romance] [Base/Guild-building] [Pact with a deity] [Crafting] [Slice of life]
This second book builds very much on the first, so they can’t be read out of order. Events happen more quickly, characters are growing / changing, and the interesting bits stay interesting. The intrigue also develops because new questions are asked and new situations arise. If you enjoyed book one, you will like book two also. Recommended (17+)
So I don't know if this is intentional on the authors part but this second book became really disjointed and the MC just flits from one thing to another without much reason or motivation from what I can tell.
