Poor Editing

Thank goodness I downloaded a sample into my Kindle before buying the book. The book has great potential, but the editing is abysmal and seemed to worsen the further along I got into the recipes. I know how to read recipes but many of these are just confusing. For example, in the Eton Mess recipe, it calls for whipped cream and the rest of the ingredients. But then, in the body of the recipe, it says to break up the meringues and start layering. Where did the meringues come from?!
Bottom line: Great concept, poor execution.

a modern dehydration technique

When food is freeze-dried, fluid isn’t removed without losing any of the nutritional value. Preparing food for future use in case of a disaster, either natural or man-made, is easy and a smart thing to do. The author provides recipes for preserved foods and even a method to track what you’ve made and when.
