Elizabeth got into some trouble in Boston and decides to head west. She ends up a mail order bride in Grover Town to a Doctor who she hasn’t been completely honest with. He plans to teach what happens to liars. This is a fast-paced fun and steamy read with plenty of drama and emotion. I liked it.

This was a most entertaining read. There was something about Elizabeth that I couldn’t help but like. Yes, she got herself into a whole load of trouble by not being truthful but she did find herself in many awkward situations. Elizabeth did try her best to improve and she did have a caring heart. Doctor Martin was definitely all male, tall, strong, handsome and he liked to be in control. He was very protective of those he cared about. Elizabeth and Martin and a loving connection and some very passionate moments. There is a mystery concerning what happened when Elizabeth left her home in Boston. A short, deeply intense story, with characters veery well developed that you feel you really get to know them quickly. A woman on the run, scared, but headed to a destiny she never knew she wanted. A man waiting for a bride that he knew through written correspondence but was so very different once she arrived. Can the differences pull them together or apart, or will Elizabeth disappear before they can find out. I really enjoyed the story, wished it was longer, but very detailed and well written.

A murder professed self-defence and a woman on the run….
This is a simply wonderful read and it is a story that started off with a traumatic murder to prevent herself from being assaulted so that the dirty solicitor had tried to force her to marry, then she had done the only thing she thought would save her and that was to run as fast and as far as she possibly could from the only home she’d ever known.
Whilst on the train Elizabeth Taylor had met a woman also travelling by herself on the train her name had been Bethany Talbot and she had been travelling as a Mail Order Bride to meet her husband to be Martin Clarkson, a doctor and as she had been training as a nurse she had been looking forward to helping as his assistant.
Imagine Elizabeth’s dismay when her travelling partner had fallen ill and then things had once again spiralled out of control and then she had decided to travel to Bethany’s original destination and when she had first seen Martin who had instantly believed she was Beth, they had married and then her life had started as a the wife of a doctor.
This is a sweet and emotional story that you cannot stop reading once you begin, the characters were so very well written and the plot was extremely well written and I know that any other reader will be as engrossed by this read as me.

A wonderful story of a substitute mail order bride

“Educating Elizabeth” is a wonderful enjoyable tale of a girl, Elizabeth Taylor, who suddenly leaves her home in Boston in an effort to protect herself from being charges with murder. She poses as a recent friend who died on the trip west where she become a mail order bride and marries a Kansas Doctor, Martin Clarkson. Having been rather independent during her growing up, she has some discipline problems with the doctor who believes in old time spanking with intimacy following as a remedy. During the course of their relationship they fall in love with each other. When Elizabeth’s Boston past seem to catch up with her, she has visions of jail and decides to leave and head west on the train. She is caught before she can get on the train and the Boston problem turns out to be nothing major and the story ends with an HEA.
Ms. Hyde’s characters are well developed and interact superbly. The plot keeps the reader engaged with excellent situations and dialog. The spanking discipline is well handled and the intimate scenes are tastefully depicted with a considerable bit of steam. This is the fifth book in the “Grover Town Discipline” series and I look forward to reading the other. You don’t want to miss this one.

Running away from her past, Elizabeth finds herself traveling to the middle of nowhere, hoping a new identity will buy her some time to figure out where she'll go from here.

What she didn't expect was finding the stern and disciplinarian Doc Martin so darn fascinating. Or what his loving attention and care would do to her heart. Suddenly, Elizabeth isn't just thinking about herself and what her next step is. Suddenly the small town she's in and the little house she shares with Martin settle her restlessness. Suddenly the dream of settling down and being a true wife and possibly mother to the man she loves isn't so far fetched.

But lies have a way of being uncovered and when Elizabeth's truths are reveals, will she panic and flee of stay to fight for a real beginning with Doc?

I wasn't expecting such an emotionally driven read but I loved it and can definitely see myself reading this one again and again. I loved Doc and the way he handled Elizabeth. No spoilers but I will say he doesn't act as expected and I think that was really so refreshing to read in a romance. Wish there had been a quick epilogue because I would have loved to see these two happily wedded and with no more secrets between them :) Great read!

Book 4 in the Grover Town Discipline series is another first class spanking romance, focusing this time on Doctor Clarkston and his mail order bride Beth. From the get-go you have a sense that the old adage “oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive” is going to play a major role in the plot and outcome of this story, and that feeling comes home to roost in a big way! Elizabeth has a traumatic event happen at her home in Boston and she flees to the West. Beth is a mail order bride, with nurse training, heading West on the same train. Doctor Clarkston is waiting for his bride/assistant in the ever growing Grover Town. The plot is full of deceit, discovery and discipline, with a lovely dose of graphically erotic sex. While I found the final outcome to be a little trite, it doesn’t detract from an overall great read. 5 Stars

An interesting story. Elizabeth is 20 years old and an heiress in Boston whose parents have died, and her brother moved to Kansas. Thinking she killed her lawyer, she flees Boston by train and heads west. On the way she meets a young woman who is going to be a mail order bride, but the young woman gets appendicitis and dies during the trip. Elizabeth decides to take her identity, arrives in the Kansas town as the expected bride – and is met by the intended husband, Dr. Clarkston. They marry right away and she finds herself experiencing a wedding night, a spanking, and a lot of other things. Despite the strange situation, she comes to love him, and he loves her – and how the various issues surrounding her departure from Boston and impersonating the dead woman are resolved makes the story interesting. “Educating Elizabeth” is the fourth book in the Grover Town Discipline series, but it can definitely be read as a complete stand-alone. This book is a difficult to describe because I really do not want to give away much of the storyline, which happens to be a very good one.

Elizabeth is on the run from the law and ends up a mail order bride in Grover Town. Martin is so busy with his practice that he never had time to find a wife, so a mail order agency seemed like the best solution. The relationship between the two main characteristics ends up being much more than either of them could have ever imagined.

There are loads of complications, and more than once I wondered how it could all possibly work out in the end. This is not a long book, but it definitely delivers a lot within its pages, including humor, sadness, passion, some domestic discipline, and love.

I really enjoyed this story. Elizabeth is a young well to do woman living in Boston. When she thinks that she has killed her solicitor. she flees Boston. She meets Bethany on the train and when Bethany dies of a ruptured appendix, Elizabeth decides to take her place and marry Dr. Clarkston. Elizabeth isn't exactly what Martin thought he was getting, but he thinks that she has lied to make herself look better to Martin. Elizabeth learns to cook and to take care of the house without servants and she falls in love with Martin. But when is she going to tell Martin the truth? The plot and the way the story moved along was great. We learned what we needed as it went along. And then it just ended. I really hate the abrupt, 'everything is solved', ending. There was so much more that we needed to know about.

A very enjoyable and entertaining read. When Elizabeth Taylor finds her solicitor dead and a candelabra in her hand, she flees her home scared and unsure of what she should do. She catches a train to Kansas and meets Bethany, a woman traveling to Kansas as a mail order bride of Dr. Martin Clarkston and becomes her traveling companion. When Beth becomes ill and passes away, Elizabeth takes her identity and puts her own name on the death certificate. A well written storyline with plenty of steam, discipline for Elizabeth’s sassiness, rudeness and lies. Will Elizabeth’s lies catch up to her and will she have to face prison for her crimes? Martin and Elizabeth are wonderful characters that grow to love one another deeply. Great story!

I really liked this book. Elizabeth, a young socialite in the late 1800's flees Boston afraid for her life...jumping on the first train heading west. After meeting another young woman heading to Kansas, she decides to head there to and figure out the rest. While traveling, Elizabeth has to fib a bit to her traveling companion, afraid for anybody to find out why she was fleeing Boston. When she arrives in Kansas, her lies become more difficult to keep up; especially with her new husband...the town doctor, who thought his mail-order wife was a nurse by profession..not a woman who faints at the sight of blood.

A sweet sexy romance between the doctor and his new wife....contains elements of domestic discipline and spanking...

I enjoyed this romantic suspense book. Ms. Hyde masterfully creates multi-dimensional characters. I liked how Elizabeth’s actions and decisions catapult her into a new life filled with mystery. I enjoyed Elizabeth and Doc Martins’ conversations. They reveal the nuances of their personalities. Ms. Hyde’s descriptive scenes create a vibrant and picturesque backdrop that positively moves her plot along. This book is a nice read for a cold weekend.

Elizabeth has blocked out why she hit her solicitor on the head. She just thinks she killed him.
She also passes out at the sight of blood, this tidbit will come into play later. She flees to get
as far as away as she can. She meets a young lady on her travels and Bethany traveling to
meet her husband in Grover Town. She ultimately is ill and dies after Elizabeth takes care of
her. Elizabeth takes over her identity.and goes on to be Elizabeth Clarkson. She is wed to the
Dr. and he believes her to be a nurse. The first sight of blood she passes out. Well he knows
the first lie. This is an awesome novel and one you really should read. There are still many
twists and turns to come.

This story is perhaps the one I liked most. So far! A pampered girl on the run finds a niche for herself. Fate has been mostly on her side on the trip from Boston to Grover Town. But her trials are just beginning once she's swept into the bargain she hadn't made. There are twists and turns and love as the relationship develops between Elizabeth and Martin, the town's doctor. The characters are great and it's a page turner. I read it in one sitting, flipping to see what in the world these characters would face next. I'd recommend this one to readers who don't mind a read with spankings and steamy scenes where the love between Elizabeth and Martin develop.

Martin is the doctor in Grover Town, and he's waiting for the arrival of his mail order bride. When Beth passes away while in route, Elizabeth assumes her identity to become Martin's wife. She's been running from a "situation" in Boston, and Grover Town seems like the perfect place to hide out. She's not planning on staying for good, just long enough to raise enough money to head for the west coast. Her lies will come back to bite her, if the good doctor's discipline doesn't get her first. I really enjoyed this book, seeing their romance develop despite all their issues. I read this in one sitting; unable to tear myself away, I read straight through dinner.

It was a good book I liked all of the characters. It was well written with a thought out plot that was a little different then most mail order bride stories. it was a story of two people that are perfect for each other and not sure they want to be together. It has a nice full story that is fleshed out in a way that makes it a delight to read. You feel for these characters and truly feel like you know most pf them I also have a fondness for this period of time so it spoke to me on all levels. It is well worth the time it took to read. I am sure i will be buying my own copy as this is a story i can see rereading again.

A very good western mail-order bride tale.
Afraid that she had done something horrible Elizabeth runs to where her brother lives. She meets Bethany and because of an unexpected event takes Bethany's name and takes her train ticket. Things do not exactly turn out the way she wanted but in the end, it was what she needed. Martin a doctor is also a man who needs to be obeyed and Elizabeth learns that fact quickly. I enjoyed the characters and storyline in this piece it is a quick read but a very good western mail-order bride tale. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Mail order bride stories some tend to be more of the same old, same old. This story is certainly nothing same old! It has a good storyline and is quite well written, there were a few typos, but... the characters in this story are also quite well written out. Overall it is a good story happening during this specific era of mail order brides going from the east coast of the USA to the west coast, or the middle of the country and of course to the clear wild west as it was sometimes referred to. Four fabulous stars go easily to this story.

This book was well enough written that I would have given it four stars except she had a doctor giving a patient antibiotics. In the time of this historical novel antibiotics hadn’t been discovered yet. When writing historical novels it is very important to get this type of detail correct. This is one of the reasons I am not very fond of historical romances. No wonder teachers tell students to write about what they know. Other than that the book is very similar to many other mail order bride books. It is interesting but not compelling. I didn’t really feel engaged with either of the main characters

This was a fun story with likeable characters and a nice plot. The romance was sweet, and the author provided enough action to keep things interesting. I loved the setting, and the author offered plenty characters to support to her two main characters. The series was new to me, and although it worked well as a standalone I suspect I missed a little with some of the supporting characters. I look forward to reading more from this series.

When she arrives at her destination, she finds the groom to be a true alpha, in the old west way, meaning he is a strong disciplinarian. The book had drama, intrigue, love, romance, discipline and a happily ever after. I look forward to reading more books of this kind in the future.

Educating Elizabeth works because of the characters, particularly Elizabeth, who starts as a spoilt, society heiress but finds herself in situations she never imagined herself

I really enjoyed this book, I found it to be very funny in parts. Elizabeth and Martin are great characters. Martin seems to be able to read Elizabeth easily and catches her out on numerous occasions. If you want to know more you’ll have to read it.
