As guardian of her younger brother, Kody, Zoe Mullens is hopeful the move to Sea Haven Beach will be the fresh start they both need. However, the bright future she anticipates soon dims when life throws a few curveballs her way. She’s moments away from living out of her SUV when an offer to become a live-in housekeeper arises. Desperate times call for anything to help Kody settle into the beachside community and keep him out of trouble, but is Zoe prepared for the challenge that awaits her?
With his time spread between the busy GP clinic at Sea Haven Beach and helping out at the local soup kitchen, there’s little room for anything else in Dr. Jackson Swan’s life. His friends are few, and trust must be earned before anyone can have a place in his life. Harsh? Perhaps. But he has his reasons for being fiercely independent and guarding his heart.
When an accident upsets Jackson’s carefully constructed life, he reluctantly agrees to open his home to a young woman and her brother. Given their living situation, it’s the hospitable thing to do, right? Besides, he needs the extra help. It should be easy enough to mind his own business and stay out of their way. But he’s not prepared for Zoe’s gentleness to seep through the walls of his self-preservation and make him question all that’s missing in his life.
Can Jackson leave his past hurts behind and learn to trust again?
Who We Are – book three in the Hearts on the Line series - is an inspiring Christian medical romance with real-to-life, challenging issues that will draw you closer to the Father’s heart.
Kristen M. Fraser is a Christian fiction author, residing in beautiful Queensland, Australia with her husband and four children. She drinks way too much coffee, has a far too messy house, and probably doesn't get enough sleep. When she's not being the family Uber driver, or making a gazillion school lunches, Kristen loves running, climbing mountains, spending time at the beach, and given a moment of solitude (ha!), curling up with a good book.
Although her books are works of fiction, Kristen believes everyone has a story to tell. As such, she takes inspiration for her writing from people's everyday lives - their struggles and successes. It is her prayer that you will be encouraged and inspired by her words.
Kristen loves hearing from her readers, and will always endeavour to reply. You can connect with Kristen here: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kmfraserauthor Email: kristenmfraser@outlook.com
I really enjoyed the story of Zoe and her brother Kody. I loved how Zoe gives up everything to look after him and doesn't think of her own needs. The story takes some interesting turns and will keep you reading till the end. I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
